I would have preferred Cutler anyway.

He's more than welcome to play for the Jets. As long as the Jets are willing to trade up to get him.

what some people don't realize is that these players are there own PR firms. If it looks like you might go to a team sure you put out there that is where you want to go, you love the community, the people blah blah blah... a few weeks ago he said he would love to play in NO big deal. Brees basically did the same thing... it gets the fans and community to support the player. I don't think this is a big deal and changes nothing, its going to come down to how much the Jets want to risk waiting to see if they can get him at 4. Personally why do they have to lose??? they will get one of the 3 top QB's in the draft no matter what.

That would be awesome if he wanted to play for the Jets. That would give the Jets incentive to skip over the Titans, because if they don't, we might not take him, but Tennessee surely will.

I'm sure he is genuinely excited about playing in NY though, and why wouldn't he be?? It's the closest thing to LA he'll get besides Oakland. It's not ALL PR. I'm sure if anyone here were the top ranked QB in this draft they would rather play in NY or L.A. than a small market.
That being said, if we were to draft him I'm sure he'd come here and it'd would be a good situation for us, but of course Leinart has his own preferences. I think we all know NO isn't at the top of anyone's list. |
