Same people were saying the same thing about Howard last year...how is was a proven top 10 DE and how it woulda been stupid to trade him for the Eagles draft pick, yet letting him walk for absolutely no compensation this year somehow was a better idea. Who said that? I was ALL for trading Howard last year. I was one of the biggest pushers. Here's the difference though. When people wanted to trade Howard, we had Grant AND Smith, who the majority felt were better. If we tarde Grant, we just have Smith. Not quite the same.

It's not exactly the same, and all of this is pure speculation anyway. However if the team knows that Grant wont be in their plans in the future it makes sense to get SOMETHING for him, regardless of what DEs we have on the roster.

Obviously there are many pros and cons. If you are willing to pay Grant 5 mil./yr then keep him. Is he worth 5 mil? Absolutely not. Walker is not an elite wr. I feel he was on his way until he got hurt. I guarantee you, that last year (if you plyed FF) that you had him as a top 10 wr if not top six. He played in every game but one, up until last year.

They both suck ass, it really doesn't matter to me. Trade Grant for a punter then tell Walker eat our ass. We dont need either one.

Yes, I see the difference. Well, 2.5 sacks last year doesn't really intrigue me. I think Williams can come in and get that. You can point to every proven player in the draft and say how unproven they are. Bush, Brick, Hawk, Williams and every other person coming to the draft in the future is unproven. So why don't we trade all our picks for proven players?

Good Point. Moulds would have been a good addition. I am still shaky about our wr's though. Past Horn and Stallworth we have nothing. Any decent FA'S or players on the block left?
