I don't need to be psychic with Grant. He has played in the NFL, at a high level. Williams hasn't taken a snap. See the difference?

Yes, I see the difference. Well, 2.5 sacks last year doesn't really intrigue me. I think Williams can come in and get that. You can point to every proven player in the draft and say how unproven they are. Bush, Brick, Hawk, Williams and every other person coming to the draft in the future is unproven. So why don't we trade all our picks for proven players?
Does the 20.5 over the two years prior do anything for you? If not, you might want House to shock you to life with some of those electric paddles. In 2004, he was also one of our team leaders in tackles. Ask a serious question next time, K?

Actually, 20.5 sacks does mean anything to me in 2 proir years because our defense still sucked and he never did anything last year. You honestly think Grant is a top 10 DE? If so, you are going to pay him to 10 money which Charles Grant clearly doesn't deserve. You can't say he was double teamed because Howard and Smith got the bulk of that.

Reggie White had some good prior years too. Is he available?

see and that is where i disagre. i think that grant got the bulk of double teams last year. that is why he had the low numbers. all you have to do is think of clyde simmons

Ever watch a Saints game? Grant was the most doubled player on our D last year. That statement let me know pretty much all I need to., Thanks.

Absolutely correct, and shows who watched the team and who obviously did not.

Yes, I watched the games and I didn't Grant getting double teamed very often. Besides, the best are supposed to beat double teams anyways. If he can't then get someone that will. I guess he's better then Smith and Howard. You know, I believe Sullivan got the bulk of the double teams and thats why he plays so poorly

Doesn't matter what you believe, only matters what actually happened. Grant was double teamed OFTEN. He also had to play DT in passing situations, which he is nowhere near suited for. The point remains, you obviously didn't watch many games if you didn't see Grant taking doubles, and your last statement I won't take as sarcasm, but just another example of me learning who I am talking to. Once again, all I need to know. Thanks.

At this point I want to see us deal Grant just to watch WhoDi's head explode....

Boogro 04-11-2006 08:14 PM

Is that what you watch the games for? To see who gets double the most? Do you really believe Grant is that good? Are you willing to pay him that money? So, basically you are saying 2.5 sacks is acceptable and you are willing to be ok with this as long as it is Grant who gets double teamed. Also, it was Howard who played the majority at DT on passing situations.
