this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'd vote for using Bush's value to trade down. I'm not in favor of taking him. The guy's not Jim Brown. Unless he can line up at RT, DT, DE, or MLB, then I don't see why we take him....

To me, it would be a no brainer. Take Bush and add him to the fold. Will probably not happen but you never know...

Do it. He's a once-in-a-lifetime player.

As long as we dont waste a top 5 pick on a right tackle, i'll be happy.

Bush would be extremely hard for Payton to pass on. Our new coach is an offensive minded coach and Bush brings very unique talents to the table. I bet Payton has laid awake at night thinking about all of the clever ways to utilize his speed and gamebreaking talent. Put him and the Beerman back on kickoffs and every kickoff will be sailed out of bounds just to be sure neither gets the ball. He's just that dangerous from anywhere on the field. Can you imagine a 4 reciever package that includes Horn, Stallworth, Henderson, and Bush? Who do YOU single cover? Shift him from the slot back into the backfield and run a swing pass after the others have sprinted downt he field...what LB or Safety will keep up...so many options he'd give to you...put him in the slot and then put him in motion for a direct handoff going around the corner...seal the end and OMG!!!! I wouldn't be upset to see him in a Saints uniform that's for sure.

If Bush is there, take him! He is a once in a lifetime back. And the biggest reason: He has not had injury problems his entire career. Could you imagine a Saints RB without the injury bug?

Unless we could get a good trade for Bush then I say you take him but I'm sure some one would love to have him and do whatever they needed to in order to get him, Bush is worth a lot it appears.

Take him and ransom him to the highest bidder. It would be utterly foolish to pay him a top 2 contract with the contract we just gave Deuce last year, once in a lifetime or not. Besides the fact I have seen a RB better than him in my lifetime, his name is Barry Sanders. So he is not once in a lifetime either. Once in a decade? Maybe.
