i pose a ? to you guys

ok... say we trade down with the jets to 4... so they take leinert... do we think that the titans will pick young? of not then who? if they dont take young, who do they take? also... with young then still being on the board... do we take trade offers from someone who wants him... say maybe oakland... or the cardinals...or do we just make the pick...

If we trade w/ the Jets & they snag Leinart, I really feel like Tennessee will end up drafting the Brick House or trade down. If Oakland wants Young bad enough, make them pay for the pick. When Al Davis has a hard on for someone, he'll break the bank to get them! :D

Oakland is at what 7? So we get the Jets picks from trading down, then we could get more picks from Oakland to do it again? I'd say hell yes i'd do it.

Pak, I totally read your title as "I pose for you guys". Once I got over being queasy I breathed a sigh of relief.

If we trade down to 4 and the Jets take Leinart, I think the Titans take Cutler. But I wouldn't be surprised to see them take Young. If they dont' take Young for whatever reason, then it depends on who the staff wants. If they want Hawk, then maybe we can trade down. I would bet that the Packers take Williams over Hawk.

In that case, I suppose we could trade with Oakland still find Hawk at #7. It's a pretty dangerous game to play though. The 49ers might like Hawk to replace Peterson.

I'm not sure we can trade past #7 and still count on seeing Ferguson, Hawk or Williams still on the board. We would have to get a sick amount of draft picks to move below those guys.

everything is pointing to the titans picking lienart at this point..........
best possible scenerio is the the titans moving up one to get him..........
but this won't happen til draft day if it does..........then, if that happens, and it only will happen if the titans think someone else is gonna grab him, the race might be on for qb's........and that race starts again at the #3 spot......................... smitty

I say they surprise everyone and select Mario Williams. They need that Javon Kearse type presence on their defense again. And I'll even say the Packers will select Vernon Davis.

1. Texans - Reggie Bush
2. Saints - Matt Leinart
3. Titans - Mario Williams
4. Jets - D'Brickashaw Ferguson
5. Packers - Vernon Davis

If there's a trade, #1 and #4 will switch positions but the players will be the same in those slots. There goes my top 5 mock draft.

i dont really think the titans like cutler that much and i would have a hard time believing that they would take him at #3 anyway when he projected in alot of places to not even be in the top 10

You might very well be right. It just seems that people go crazy and take QBs WAY too high. I bet Chow likes Cutler more than VY. The smart move for them would be Williams or Ferguson, but I bet the McNair thing has them eager to get a new QB in place. QBs always go too high.

If that was the top 5, i'd crap a brick cause that means we could trade back TWICE to Oakland's spot, and still possibly get Hawk, if we made a couple of shifts.

1. Bush-Texans
2. Leinart-Jets
3. Mario-Titans
4. Oakland-Young
5. Pack-D'Brick(They have lost A LOT of O-lineman over thelast two years)
6. 49ers-Davis
7. Saints HAWK!!!!!!!!!! AND MORE PICKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jaworski's thoughts on Cutler.

Interesting stuff and seems to make it a closer question for the Titans.

"It’s not my decision, obviously. It’s a tough decision, Jaworski said. “I have studied all the quarterbacks, and I like [Jay] Cutler the best of them.

Jaworski says his preference for the Vanderbilt star is not to belittle the accomplishments of the more heralded Matt Leinart and Vince Young. He just believes that the Commodore quarterback is NFL-ready because of the circumstances he played under.

“I think Matt Leinart is going to be very good, and I think Vince Young is going to be very good. … Everyone has different opinions. What I like about Cutler is that he threw with pressure on him, Jaworski said. “His offensive line wasn’t that good, and I saw throws that you have to make at the NFL level, people around him, bodies, throwing from different platforms, around people, sidearm, over the top, and taking hits looking down the gun barrel.

“I didn’t see a whole lot of separation from his wide receiving corps, so he was throwing through tight windows. He had to throw accurately with pressure on him. That projects well in the National Football League."
