I'm just glad that he signed with a team so that some people on this board that had delusions of grandeur can get any idea out of their head that we should try to sign him.
As far as the Saints signing Brees while he's injured, at least we know that he's a team player. LaVar, on the other hand, is questionable in that aspect. |

Taking a chance on a QB makes more sense than taking a chance on a LB for that kind of money. I am going to go out on a limb and say this...Drew Brees at 100% is better for this team than Lavar Arrington at 100%. Playmaking LB's are easier to come by than All-Pro QB's.

I haven't seen the numbers yet, but I'mpretty sure Arrington'd deal is kinda like the ones the Redskins deal out. In 3 years, he'll be onthe market again.
Now, I'm not a big fan of LaVar. I actually think he's a bit overblown as a LB (glad to see I'm not the onlyone), but I also think Ghandi is right. When you put LaVar in a scheme where he finally has the upfront protection, his nubers have a better chance of going up...way up... Washington keeps writing checks like they have their ownpaper mill, but they never adaquately address the most key part of a Defense...the D-line. It's been why our back seven get scellacked every year, and why LaVar is always fishing through garbage to get to the ball carrier. Over-priced, but for the Giants, a good pick up. |
