if tennessee feels someone could move ahead of them
to us for leinart, this would not only signal the run for qb's, but put some nice picks in our grocery basket...........
if that happens, we could possibly be looking at 3 2nd round picks and a strong chance of still getting who we want in the draft........ actually, all this talk has come nothing short of full circle since we begin discussing the draft. one more day...............smitty |

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: if houston feels someone could move ahea
i think the titans feel pretty confident about the fact that leinart will still be there considering we aren't drafting him and the jets look content to stay at 4 and take the best available at that spot... of course, if the jets do realize they want leinart they know they have to trade up to us to get him and the titans will lose out and select vince young... i'd hate to be the titans FO the day after the draft if they let the jets trade up to snag leinart...

the only thing that will change that is if oakland gives us what we want before or during the draft because they may also want him. and the jets, well, i think they too may want him, but may or may not settle for cutler...... i believe we will see a run on the qbs............ and i just have to believe right now that the saints will stand pat and draft lienart regardless.. nuts? maybe.............maybe not....................smitty |

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: if houston feels someone could m
i think leinart would be a good pick, but not after signing brees for so much... brees has alot of guaranteed money and so would leinart (roughly expected to pocket $24 mil. guaranteed).... too much money spent on one position... this would compound our problems of being unbalanced among the entire roster... we wouldn't have enough money to spread over to other need areas....

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: if houston feels someone
there are many teams that want leinart, but very few, if any, are willing to pony up to get him... there are simply no takers at this point... hopefully, by tomorrow that will change...
