YAY! But don't keep Bush, I like Karney too much to mess with split back. Hopefully someone pays out the butt for Reggie :D:D:D
relax euph and don't try to put a damper on such a beautiful situation. LTF how do you do and how do you like the recent developements. whodi try counting draft picks. maybe that can help
I think a lot of teams liked Mario then many led everyone to believe... I don't think we take bush here we go for the player that will help us the most in the long run and that isn't Reggie and seems he has a lot of explaining to do with the latest personal developments... I think the value of the pick is higher now that the texas passed on him... we would be very wise to trade the pick.
"Hopefully someone pays out the butt for Reggie "
They'll have to if they want Bush, again I say draft Bush if not let other teams who want him badly fight for him and we'll watch the fight unfold. |
i bet the phones are a ringing in New Orleans
trade and get a whole bunch of picks and then get..oh god i cant believe im sayin this but a.j hawk
i don't think he has any expalining to do euph. bro you are always negative no matter what great event develops in our favor.

Well, I hope the Jets will with their 2 first this year, a 3rd, and a second next year. That enough would be for me. Get Hawk, use the third on a CB or DT maybe, use 2nd first on Mangold, use second rounder on CB or Max Jean-Gilles.... OMG I THINK WE GOT IT!!!! |
"LTF how do you do and how do you like the recent developments. "
spkb I'm almost speechless at this point, as I said this is huge, we have to take Bush, here's a guy who only comes around once every few years, if they decide to pass on him we'll get one sweet of a deal for him, either way we WIN. Texans, how dumb are you guys? |
i like that plan but one of them seconds on a Cb
I wish it was me answering the phone.
Mark my words: This draft will go down as the Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan of all NFL drafts for the Texans. And will mark the day our franchise turned a corner cause of it.
WHo the heck is negative??? I SAID THIS IS A GOOD THING... the value of the number two pick rises, that means we can get more for that pick by trading down... that is a positive... geez.

fair enough euph i thought you were my bad i guess. we have so many opportunities. the only thing that pisses me off is if we don't trade down or select bush. i am happy with either
euph..
This is big, most fans will be excited and optimistic, it seems that the Saints always get the bad luck but ever since we got coach Payton only good things have happened so far, maybe he's a good luck charm. This is Bush we're talking about.... |

I've been saying I was gonna be done with em for 18 years, but this time Im serious! |
hey we haven't won a game yet so not all good has happened yet... I like the Texans move... we can get more value with th pick and get bodies in to help us overall... this is good.
Absolutely stunning developments today!!! This changes everything. Right now I say the number 1 option is PICKING REGGIE BUSH. We say how stupid the Texans are for not taking him....how stupid would we be for passing him...probably even moreso than them. Both us and the Texans have capable running backs, yet he's still should have been #1. This gives us a player rated better than Ladanian Tomlinson to team up with Drew Brees. We have Deuce, true, but Bush is already on another level. Deuce runs over people, while Reggie makes people miss, and is far more versatile. All who made a case for Leinart putting butts in the seats....well Bush will put even MORE butts in the seats, so get ready to support the pick!
Now of course if some teams want to give us their entire drafts for the guy, by all means lets pull the trigger on a trade. But if we are getting lowballed and teams call our bluff, lets get Reggie Bush and start a new beginning in the Big Easy! Butt load or picks or Reggie Bush....if neither of those happen the Saints will have effectively fudged this draft up. |
no we haven't won a game yet but i ike where we are headed
smyce...
I'm sure that the Saints will make the correct choice this time, it's in the bag as they say. |
bush split out at #3 reciever. gives me shivers. the dome better be packed. this is what the saints and benson can use against the city. who knows maybe this tags goodbye present to us.
bus everyone back from the north shore for the games. |
Oh the Dome will be crazy if we draft Bush and steps on the field for the first time, I will be there...

oh it will be lovely. either way i think we are headed o good things. man what a gift the dumb arse texans just gave us. not a great move for the new texans coaching staff. hey maybe the texans are the new saints.
What a great gift and it's not my birthday, or is it?
might as well think of it that way LTF. i tell you the flyers just came back from 2-0 in thier game to win 5-4 and tie the series 2-2. before that the saints get a gift and i am just like waiting for something bad to happen
We probably need Reggie Bush like a bakery needs another cupcake, but he's too doggone valuable to pass up, unless we pull off a huge trade, which is in the works. Right now 5 teams are talking to the Saints about the pick....Jets, Raiders, 49ers, Cardinals and Green Bay. I think something should materialize trade-wise with one of those teams. But NY is haggling with them now....ESPNews reported that the Jets aren't willing to give up their third in addition to #29 to move up to our pick.
Oh and they are reporting that A.J. Hawk is at the top of our boards, but that's with Reggie Bush going to the Texans, which of course has changed now. |

i think we will do the right thing
I think we'll have one hell of a good draft this time, just you watch, I see it, even when my eyes are closed.
would this mean we basically inherited the #1 pick, as far as trade value is concerned?
i would take thier 4 and 29 and their third to let them move up. that would be nice. 3 picks in the top 34 and a third we didnt have. lovely
I wonder how the Texan fans feel tonight, might feel better than one might think, they got Williams and still have D. Davis who's a good back, but they can't feel as good as we feel about now..
"would this mean we basically inherited the #1 pick, as far as trade value is concerned?"
That's how i see it... |

I'd go so far as to say that BnB. I remember rooting for the 49ers (only time everI will say that) to beat the Texans...I was resigned to Leinart after that. Then we got Brees and I became excited about the fact that our #2 had value to us and others...LB, OT or more picks.
Now we sit in the driver's seat and can deal as we want. And I understand that Bush has value and may be a great back, but we have a guy that is already a great back. and cost us 50 mil. His value to us is not as a player, but as trade bait. anyone who says different is still in shock at the fact that the Texan just screwed the pooch. |
If the Jets come calling offering us the 1st's then we should jump.

lets just say noone calls us, i think we take bush and look for someone to trade for him. if they aren't willing to tarde for him thinking we won't take him then we should take him
