cant be too mad at this draft

First time poster here...
I like this draft for the most part, I like that Payton is trying to draft players and bring in FA's that are not only good on the field, but off the field as well. In round one we had to take Bush, hopefully in a few years we can rub that one in Houston's face. I think in round two, we should have stayed where we were originally and taken Jimmy Williams or Youboty at CB. Getting Faine helps some though. Second day was pretty decent, added depth at OL and got a WR with arguably the best hands in the draft. Thomas from Philly also fills a need in the middle. So all in all I give this draft a solid B grade. We can only wait and hope that times are a changing in NOLA.

I think we could have and should have taken Justice. Thats the only gripe.

I do, however, think that Jeff Faine will be more than a serviceable center so thats good.

I dont think any of our draft picks other than Reggie will do much so I gott give the grade a C. I think without Bush, this draft is a D maybe F.

Smyce, I don't think you are taking into consideration that Faine will start and Thomas will help alot. I give this draft a B+. I think the Saints are more devoted to getting good football players than just untapped talent.

I would have liked to see some different moves in the second round, but I'm not going to b!tch. There were some really good moves.

I like this draft much more than years previous.

I assume they got who they got for a reason. I hope it works for the team. I am not a coach and I know nothing about who they "need". The players on the team could be good players, who now have better coaching. I hope they succeed this year, with whoever they get.

Good deal bro. I like your outlook. Some on here would swear they know more about what the team needs than our FO and coaches. Let's cut the coaching staff a little slack and see how they do. They've already put together a potentially lethal offense.

Nah I take into consideration those things. But when I grade a draft, I dont count players we get in trades. I grade the draft picks.

Bush: A+
Only pick in the draft where we made the right pick but it was pretty hard to screw it up.

Harper: D-
Not only was Justice on the board before we traded, but after we left Cedric Griffin as well as Ashton Youboty who will probably be a steal where Buffalo got him in the 3rd. Plus, I dont think anyone is sold on Harper

The rest of the draft, I feel will be pretty inconsequential.

Yes Faine and Thomas are good additions and I'm happy we got em. I just look at what the draft offered, and how we spent our picks when I grade drafts.

Also, those of you who complain about people giving their opinions why are you a member of an internet forum? Thats what these places are for. Fans meet to give their opinion. You can chose to agree or disagree. The argument of "Some people think they are coaches" is lame and played.
