Brees or Bush
Who was the better pickup for us? My opinion is Brees but I have been a fan of his since Purdue and he is my favorite player in the league. Even before he came to NO but both will do great things for this team and community and I look forward to seeing them in black and gold on sundays

RE: Brees or Bush
id have to say brees as well... as much as i think bush will help this franchise, we have a very good back already in duece and brees has replaced brooks and that in it self is a great thing for this franchise

Brees, though I think it's pretty close. Brees makes quick decisions which immediately improved the appearance of our line's performance. Bush does the same thing, but if Brees returns to form - he will make enemy defenses pay for every blitz they throw at us - so I say Brees is the better pickup (if he returns to form).

i will say brees, only because he is a more dramatic improvement over his replacement and bush is going to be more of an addition rather than a replacement.

Both are really good players but I would say Brees because of the value he brings as a leader both on and of the field.

Following in line, Brees. Man, when we signed him, that was the biggest FA signing in team history, and had already started a buzz that Reggie took to another level. But definitely Brees, and like pak says, the fact he is replacing Brooks ia about the greatest thing anyone could have done for us.

Brees hands down. A veteran player that handles the ball 60 times a game and makes impact decisions on most of those plays in more valuable than a rookie player that may get 15 touches.

I think you have to go with Bush... I mean this guy is single handedly got the fan base energized. He will be a marketing and finacial gem for the NFL, Saints and NO community as a whole. I think Bush will be able to hide the flaws in our OL a lot better than Brees will be able to. I also think Brees is a bit overrated... He has done a good job but he had talent around him, he isn't all that spectacular and won't single handedlyh win games for us... he isn't that kind of player, he is safer than say Brooks but he has his limitations.
