Harper and the rest of the picks

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; perhaps no one was looking to trade at the time or the offer wasnt right... there are many factors that influence what is going on on draft day...

Maybe..... but with the guys on the board at the time, I have serious doubts that there were not some teams that would have traded up into the spot.

Exactly.

I also want to remind you that there are a number of so called experts who said the Saints draft was an A..
A number? Really? Show me two.

...I see the glass as half full
There's a difference between optimistic and delusional. Do you think we'll be in the Superbowl next year too?

Doesn't Joe say that every year? And isn't he senile anyway?

Haha Whodi, here's two!

But seriously folks, I love when Whodi owns helpless posters like that.

Also, I'm now going to have nightmares thinking about Whodi swinging from Sully's jock.

Dr Z gave us an A for, and I quote, well, let him tell you:

Congratulations for not blowing the Reggie Bush pick. You sent light into a city darkened by gloom. That gets you the A. The rest of the draft? Well, you'd better put some linemen in front of this dazzling runner, or it'll be another Dalton Hilliard story.
He gave us the A for Bush only.

Same with USA

New Orleans Saints

The Saints got the player rated No. 1 on most teams' draft boards, Reggie Bush, without trading up. Just the shot in the arm needed for a franchise that has dealt with so much adversity.
They don't even mention the rest of the draft. :P

Let's keep the "OWNING" to a minimum, gentlemen.

Wait a minute...Whodi doesn't "own" me...I've been lurking here for a while now and I know that no matter what Whodi is going to be right because he's like Yoda...he knows everything and that which he doesn't know, well, it can't exist. The good news is all of this will settle itself some time around December...Harper will or will not be a good pick...Bush will or will not have the impact that many think he will...Brees' shoulder will or will not hold up and so on...time settles everything. Oh by the way, for the record, I don't think the Saints will win the Superbowl this season but I do expect a good season and a possible run for the playoffs if we don't have many injuries. No matter what anyone says, the talent on this team doesn't equate to a 3-13 team before the additions. We'll have to see how the coaching change goes. I know we're better off with the OC and DC we have compared to the last 5 seasons...I also believe that Vitt will have his unit better prepared than what we've been used to and I also know that Payton will do a better job calling plays than the last guy. From there we'll just have to see...I like this board...better than Saintsreport.com...now can I get some favorable responses?
