If it came down to a trade, I'd doubt we'd get anything higher than a 4th rd pick. Teams weren't willing to give up a 2nd rd for Edgerrin James or Shaun Alexander. I can't see Saban giving up a 3rd for Bennett. No way he'd give up Travis Daniels, either. Daniels started as a rookie last year, and being from LSU, Saban knows exactly what kind of player he has there. Finally, if Turley would agree to move to safety, I say pull the trigger and get him. |

well, the fact is you cant keep all 4 running backs so instead of cutting one, get something in return. I will take a 4th or 5th for Bennett...the guy never played a down here so signing him in the offseason and trading him for a pick doesnt hurt anything...we just get an extra draft pick next year...and dont put anything past Miami, they traded a 2nd rounder for Lamar Gordon a few years back. Take what you can get and move on.

We should be able to get at least a 4th rounder for Bennett if we go the draft pick route.

I'd keep Bennett over Stecker. More upside.

Wow....a dilemma. I dunno man Bennett is very very fast. But Stecker can prove he can get it done. Stecker can also do kickoffs if I am not mistaken. Honestly....I don't think anybody should go. But if we MUST trade Bennet...we BETTER get a decent LB! WE NEED LINEBACKERS!!!!!!!

Man, it looks like we're going to have more players on injured reserve than on the field. |

I think Bennett has more value both in a trade and for our team. If Deuce goes down for say, 3 games, then bennett would be fine getting the bulk of the carries and Bush's role doesnt change. Stecker really doesnt make me comfortable when he has to do the brunt of the work. Stecker does play special teams and he is a threat out of the backfield, but i think Bennett's role disappeared when we drafted Bush.
