Courtney Watson to Miami...

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Wrong guy Papz. This guy played for Tennessee. Now I'm an SEC guy, & his name just doesn't stand out. Oh, I forgot....he was injured most of his college career, too....

I have no problem with this move. I think Watson does have some talent, but if Payton believes that his team needs to be filled with high character men, then this move is a good one. Watson never really did anything besides get drafted in the second round. You guys can bash Payton for all of his safety signings and what not, and some of it is warranted, but this move is fine in my eyes. We just traded a criminal for a guy who has some injury problems. When it all comes down to it, I'd rather be rooting for a team filled with good men who care about their team and about their community more than talented players who care about nothing more than themselves. To me, these guys are representatives of New Orleans, and I personally would rather see high character men than low character trash that gives my hometown a bad name.

You: .........glass they were talking about. Who the hell is this and why is he offering me a pen and a 4 year 2.5 million dollar deal?"
Weak...very weak.

Stole that from Kelley's thread. You were saying about criminals and character?

Tempest in a teakettle guys. No way either of them would have started. Either would be doing well to contribute on special teams.

Why the league insists on passing their headaches around is strange to me though.

Hospitalized? That means he got his a** kicked, too! Great!!! At least Watson didn't get hospitalized for getting his a** kicked at some bar. Good move FO!!!!!!!!
