RE: Who Is The Next To Go
I think Stallworth will be next. The two guys on the trading block were him & Dwight Smith. I figure with Smith being a safety & all, he'll probably get to stay.

RE: Who Is The Next To Go
Seeing that we're shopping Bennett... I'll choose Bennett even though he's not one of the holdovers from last season. But, it could very well be Smith also.

I'm thinking it'll be Bennett or Smith. I really can't see us trading Stallworth unless we'd get someone who could capably replace him at the #2 wr slot ... I'm not totally surprised Watson was shipped of - I just simply do NOT understand WHY they would wanna ship Smith and/or Stallworth for any reason ...

It looks like the guys getting shipped out, and the guys being rumored to be shipped out, have one thing in common. Character flaws. Watson got a DUI last year and never lived up to his potential on the field, Stallworth has some questionable work ethics, Smith basically said during last season that he wished he would have gone elsewhere, and maybe Bennett could develop an attitude problem now that he is projected as a third or fourth string RB. Also remember that Wayne Gandy and Aaron Brooks were shipped out, both rumored to be locker room cancers.
Looks like Payton is trying his best to clean things up. The past several seasons the Saints were major underachievers. Getting rid of character problems is a step in the right direction. So far, I think all the moves that are being made are the correct ones. |

I don't have a problem with any of the moves, sh#t people we haven't made the playoff since 99/2000 season. I'm ready for change. And in my mind there are only a few untouchables.

eggzaktlie patdog. I may not have made or would make some of the same moves if I was king but I ain't. Now we do need to see results. The better the results are in time the more we'll trust and cheer the new regime on.
As far as results, I do think some of the change I want to see could be influenced by the moves. I want to see the sloppy play and penalties radically changed. I want to hear things like Brees is saying and team comraderie- not the backbiting and squabbles we have heard of too often. Getting the attitude right, getting players who buy fully into your plan, and commit to it goes a long way toward team success. Play good, play right, and tough... and the wins will follow. |

I will not judge anyone till the team starts playing...the moves may make sense, they may not, but we wont know until they suit up on Sunday and play...but i sure cant wait.
