Saints dangling Bennett
"Saints officials have spoken to representatives from at least two other teams, ESPN.com has confirmed, about trading Bennett, who was bumped down a notch on the depth chart when New Orleans chose Reggie Bush with the second overall pick in last month's draft. The most in-depth discussions have been with the Houston Texans, and there has also been dialogue with the Miami Dolphins in recent days."
"The Texans are believed to have offered a player in exchange for Bennett, and were rebuffed, but talks are expected to continue. Negotiations with the Texans are much further along than the discussions with the Dolphins." http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2441237 |
Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over, over, and over again...and expecting a different outcome!

At first thought I wasn't all that thrilled about "dangling" Bennett. But if it brings us immediate help in other areas...

Or, someone who has spent the last two years on IR. If the Saints continue will have to ditch the fluer de lis and buy the rights to the Red Cross logo.

I think a safety that is recuperating from some sort of injury would be best. At least we would show consistency.

Or Philip Buchanon. He is still adjusting in the pros, but man does he have some upside. Oh....and other than maybe McKenzie, he's better than any of the CB's we have as of now.

that wouldn't hurt my feelings either, but i think the Texans would be on the ass-end of a lopsided trade....
