NFC South Defensive Ends - Rank em, then enter......
Rank the defensive ends in the NFC South below and we'll tally it up at the end. This was tough, how do you put C. Grant at 6? but look at the talent above him. Abraham is 5th, only because i value turnovers, and he is a football stripping machine. will smith is 4th, but just watching him progress, i believe strongly this time next year, he could be on a different plane than all these guys, save peppers.
1. Peppers 2. Rice 3. Kerney 4. W. Smith 5. Abraham 6. C. Grant 7. Rucker 8. Spires |

1. Peppers
2. W. Smith 3. Kerney 4. Abraham 5. C. Grant 6. Rice 7. Rucker 8. Spires Rice is old, and although still pretty effective, he has lost a step. His game is based on speed, and when you're 8,000 years old, you're obviously going to lose a little bit of that. I honestly do think Will Smith can be the 2nd best DE in the NFC South as long as he continues to improve on his run defense. We all have seen how devestating he can be on that pass rush and how many fumbles and interceptions he can cause, but I think the key to him emerging as a true star will be his ability to shine on run defense. |

1. Rice - Best pass rushing DE in the league. (until he's shown he's lost some speed, this is where he belongs)
2. Peppers - Most athletic DE in the league. 3. Abraham - Combination of speed and power. 4. Kerney - One of the most under-rated DE's in the league. 5. Smith - An up and coming young star... has a chance to be as good as Abraham. 6. Grant - Usually a consistent performer until last... solid both as run and pass. 7. Rucker - Under-rated man on an outstanding front line. 8. Spires - Solid and hard worker... over-achiever. |

1. Rice
2. Peppers 3. Smith 4. C. Grant 5. Abraham 6. Kerney 7. Rucker 8. Spires Will Smith reminds me A LOT of Rice, hopefully by the end of this season Rice and Will Smith will be at the top tied for #1. IMHO, Peppers is not good enough against the run to merit the #1 selection. |

1. Will Smith
2. Charles Grant It's important to note that the Saints DE's have had to play without DT's for quite some time while the other 3 teams have super star DT's to help them out. That's why Smith and Grant are the best. 3. Peppers 4. Kerney 5. Rice 6. Abraham 7. Rucker 8. Spires |
