Seems like a boom or bust award for players. A few good-great receivers, and numerous busts. Hopefully Haas will at a minimum fall somewhere in between.

Does anyone notice that there were only 2 receivers who were finalists twice? Bobby Engram won it his first year as a finalist....The other was in-state product Troy Edwards....He won it his 2nd year as a finalist. Too bad he didn't pan out like the Steelers thought he would.

Don't let the he's the next Danny Abromwicz/Eric Martin people hear you say that. I have even seen him called the best receiver in the draft on here. And I wasn't so much saying he could be a bust, as saying the award seems to produce players who boom or bust. Guess I shoulda been more clear. But some feelings will be hurt if he doesn't pan out.

Well, i am in the minority apparently, but i think if this guy catches 20 balls this year that will be alot. Hey, maybe down the road he turns into a decent possession guy, but i dont ever see him being a pro bowl player or even a starter. I do like the move getting him in the 6th round, but any of those comparisons are just crazy.

I guess we're both in the minority, cause I couldn't agree more.

Yum yum gimme some...i hope he breaks out...i do...and if he does, both of us will be happy and you will be sitting here smiling and telling everyone i told you so. And you will say it is all because of Payton and Brees, and i am going to say that it is because he wants the big money...so we can do all of this again next year...but at least it will be interesting.
