My name is tigersaint31 and i am 31 years old, and i have been a Saints fan for as long as i can remember. My entire family are Saints fans as a Saints fan I take alot of crap from other people. I let them say there little piece and then i tell them all the same thing. Not if but when we win the superbowl, and you see me coming do not run and hide just sit down and take it like a man, because all the crap we as fans have taken over the years i am going to give it back to you and all at one time. The Saints are my team whether they win or loose and they always will be. I was at the the first playoff game we ever won, and there was this lady sitting by me and my friend, and after the game was over she was crying, this lady was in her late sixties at least. We asked her why she was crying and she said she was not a football fan but her husband who had just passed away was. She said he would buy season tickets to the Saints games every year, and all he ever wanted was for them to go to the playoffs. She was crying because he passed away a month before the Saints won there first playoff game. GO SAINTS

..please allow me to introduce myself... I'm a man of wealth and taste...
... I became a Saints fan one late Fall afternoon while a freshman at Loyola University... friend got tickets to the Whiners-Saints game... Whiners killed the Saints by like 30 points (IIRC)... but the thing that stuck with me is that no one left the building until the end of the game, and everyone was partying and drinking, and being loud, and it was all good... well, maybe I was too drunk and all of 'em different colored seats fooled me into thinking the dome was full, but I had a grand time... beer was flowing... strangers bought me a beer because I was sitting near them.. and God knows how many rounds I bought for my entire seat row... since then, I've been hooked and not been able to get away The handle "Tobias Reiper" comes from the Hitman video games. Tobias Reiper is the name of the main character. As some of you know, I was born in Mexico. I ended in New Orleans because LSU had no space for me that semester - LSU being the school my Dad graduated from - so I decided to do a semester in Loyola since they had a spot for me that Fall, thinking I was going to transfer the next Spring, but after a semester - well, 2 days really - in New Orleans, well, Baton Rouge didn't seem as exciting .. after graduating, I stayed in the city for many years. I left N.O. in the early 90's, but I love the city so much and have so much fond memories of the city and the people that in my heart New Orleans is my second hometown. |

I've been a Saints follower from the time the announcement was made that New Orleans was getting a franchise. Although, I have to admit that I became disinfatuated with the team over them bringing Herbert back after his infamous holdout. That was just donkey wrong to bring him back. Oh well, I got over it and have been on the roller coaster ride of SaintsEmotion forever it seems like. I have gotten hyped up over seemingly good draft picks only to be continually disappointed, but I still bleed Black and Gold. I'm praying that what I am feeling about the team this year is the real thing . . . there are too many "IF's" to be sure. I'm ready for training camp and preseason to start and can't wait for the regular season.

Well, I am 28 and i have been a Saints fan since i was old enough to watch tv with my dad...i thought anything that you could watch on TV that could make a grown man yell and scream and cry and cheer had to be worth watching and i havent stopped since...I am the kind of Saints fan that whenever i get a break from work, and wife, and twins, i check the internet to see if there is any news that i may have missed. I love the Saints...i feel like the knowledge i have of the players and their history is unquestionable. I like posting on this site especially during this time of year because this is the slow time and it still gives me a chance to talk football and keep things interesting.

The ONLY good thing about jersey, is the Sopranos. :P
I'll be 31 next month. Saints fan since my first breath. Spurs and Braves fan since 1988 and 1989 respectively. Born and raised in the N.O., and wish the economy and education system was better so I could have stayed. My whole family, except for maybe one aunt and uncle and set of cousins, was still living there until Katrina. A lot have gone back. I did not miss a Saints game until 1998 when I joined the army. Have worn my jerseys everywhere I have been stationed, Monterey, CA, San Angelo, TX, Ft. Huachuca AZ, Killeen, TX, and now San Antonio. Even Kuwait. The best feeling is when you are somewhere outside of New Orleans and see another Saints fan. There is a kindredness that is unexplainable to any other fan of any other team, and age, race, gender, none of that matters. Saints fans are the gumbo that keeps the faith in this team going. I'll now return to my seat. |
