“The Hamburglar has struck again. Bengals OT Willie Anderson, who opened Georgia’s first “Fatburger restaurant earlier this year, treated his teammates to a lunch of the big, tasty burgers on Friday. Lo and behold, DT Shaun “The Hamburglar Smith was seen leaving the lunchroom with a takeout box of Fatburgers  and munching on one in his hand. Smith got his nickname last season. He was waived by New Orleans on Nov. 30, 2004, two days after he and fellow DT Johnathan Sullivan visited the Georgia Dome press box for a pregame snack. They were inactive for the game in Atlanta. Both were seen leaving the press box with a couple of hamburgers each. Saints head coach Jim Haslett said the incident played a factor in Smith’s release. HILARIOUS!!!!! |
Henderson (WWL) never forgave Sully for taking the last piece of Cheese Cake in the press box spread either. Boy he spent more time at the free food spread the first two years than on the field
|
So we get Bethel Johnson (another WR) which gives us more lattitude to trade Donte to SD for Donnie Edwards....
Maybe that is the new plan? |
sully is gone woohooo.....
alot of pieces to make a trade for something worth having on the team |

The move was absolutely not about money...it was about Payton saying, "I dont care where you were drafted, or what the other regime promised you, you have to prove yourself to me and do things my way." Sullivan was an example. Getting Johnson will hopefully fuel Stallworth to do the right thing and shape up and get Henderson to try to be more consistent because the opportunity is there for them to thrive. Being honest, we dont have a receiver thats ready to step up and start for us. Henderson, Johnson, Lyman, Hass, C. Horn...all these guys are 3 or 4 receivers...not starters.

Remember 2 seasons ago when Haslett was talikng to Tony Siragusa and asked him, "Why do you fat guys always need to be cut before you start playing?" Would be very ironic if Sullivan turns it on in NE and he and Wilfork dominate. Something tells me we will be bringing in a new DT from somewhere soon like we did with the LB's.
|
Sullivan and Wilfork won't happen... Ty Warren is a very good player. He could be a solid backup at most there... which would be an accomplishment.
|
IMO Stallworth is toast in N.O, I see him traded real soon, thing is I was hoping we were going to hold on to him at least another year..
I hope B. Johnson can produce for us.. |

Talent-wise we are better off with Stallworth, but he seems like he's pulling a little diva act right now. We may be stuck with him though if no one else on the team steps up. Nothing I've heard regarding Stallworth is encouraging to me thus far however.
|
Stallworth is still a good #2 guy. He's been screwing up lately and pissing on Coach P's shoes.
No matter what, you have to admit that Coach P came in and is cracking skulls. Good move to get rid of Sully. I'm not real high on the person we got for him, but at least Sully is gone. |
