Thoughts on the possible starters.

QB--Brew Brees--I will cheer for him to succeed, because he is a Saints player. He will recover from the injury, but even before that injury, he didn't have much ability. Here he has more offensive firepower, than with the Chargers. I hope the rest of the team can carry him.

RB--Deuce McAllister--I know he will be healthy, for the start of the season. The injury was not serious from the start. Most people need to be carried off the field after it, he didn't need to be, he limped to the sideline. And also, the injury was looked at more than once, to make sure he had to miss the rest of the season, which gets me thinking that he was not hurt as bad as it could have been. He will be okay. He might not do as well, as he could be cause of Reggie
Bush.

FB--Mike Karney--He is becoming one of the best blockers in the league, and who knows he might get a few catches too. If everyone else is covered, atleast he is able to catch the ball. Deuce said, he perfers a FB in the game, I wonder if Reggie and Micheal Bennett feel the same. If they do, then having him here is good for them. But, will he be in the games much, with Deuce and Reggie here.

WR--Joe Horn--He probably will be the #2 receiver this year, because of Donte's youth and
speed. His injury is probably already okay. I know he will play his best, like all players do, no matter if he gets 1,000 yards or not.

WR--Donte' Stallworth--He will probably be the #1 receiver and get his first 1,000 yard season. But no matter if he does or not atleast he will help open things up for all the other offensive players. This team is so stocked with offensive talent, that their numbers maybe more balanced.

TE--Zack Hilton--If he starts, being the tallest TE in the league will be a plus for the team. All a QB has to do is throw the ball up for him to grab. Hopefully, he has more than height. Last
year there were a couple of times when he got alot of yards on catches.

LT--Jammal Brown--Moving to LT is not a concern for me, I think these players in the NFL are smarter than most think. And if the coaches think he can play it, then I do too. Last year he dominated Peppers, of the Panthers. And I believe he will only get better with experience. People wanted someone to protect Deuce and Drew, who are coming off injuries. Well he is already on the team.

LG--Montrea Holland--Looked at as one of the up and coming guards, in the league. I read that about him. They may run to the left alot with him and Jammal there. That should keep all these good RB's productive.

C--Jeff Faine--I know almost nothing about him, except that he was a first round pick, which is good to hear. He will come back from the injury and help the Saints do well. And he will want to play better than LeCharles in that first game of the season.

RG--Jermane Mayberry--He is a veteran who knows how to play in the league. He will be ready to play better than last year. Every player has an off year. That was his. Not to mention most of the players from last year, seeing as they had a storm and it's aftermath to deal with.

RT--Jon Stinchcomb--He was doing well in last year's training camp, until he got hurt. He probably would not have beat out Wayne, because he was a veteran who knows how to play better. But without anyone ahead of him, he will show that he just needed a chance.

LE--Charles Grant--He, like the rest of the team, had an off year, but will comeback better than ever. When his sacks go down, usually his tackles go up. So maybe he is trying to stop the run more, which is what is needed. But even he says, that he wants more sacks this year.

DT--Thomas Hollis--A big guy who can stop the run up the middle. I know he is up there in age with Jermane, but atleast he brings experience from a team that had a good defense when he was there.

DT--Cedric Woodard--I put him as a starter, because of two reasons. One is because I don't know who they have as the starter now. And two because I have hear that he is a good player. With his size it seems he would be better against the run than the smaller DTs. But again they say they will go upfield more and not try to hold up blockers, so it might not matter what their size is.

LB--Scott Fujita--I guess they brought him here to be a starter, since he had become a starter with Dallas. So I assume he is a good player with experience. I hope he can do well here, and give the offense a defense they can do well with.

LB--Anthony Simmons--I know he will be healthy and will play better than any LB on the team. He is already looking better and the season hasn't even started. And I hope he teaches Albert Fincher how to be a good LBer, so that he can take over one day, or replace him if he gets hurt.

LB--Colby Bockwoldt--I don't know if he will be the starter or not. But I put him here, because he was last year. But since most of the LBers, on the team now are new, one of them might be better. If not, atleast he can start.

CB--Mike McKenzie--He was another player who was due for an off year, but will play much better this year. Since the DL and LB will play better, that will help the secondary alot. It just seems that he will be gettting more help than last year.

CB--Fred Thomas--I guess he is still listed as the starter, although Jason Craft had a better year than him. And for that matter, he had a better year than the other CBs too. But Fred is a veteran who knows how to start at the spot.

SS--Josh Bullocks--He had a good rookie season, and will probably keep his spot as a starter. He had a couple of interceptions called back and dropped a couple more, but he was a rookie, so that is understandable. He might end up being their best safety.

FS--Dwight Smith--Since he is still on the team, I will assume that he is the starter. He did good last year and would continue that play, if he is kept. If not it will be fun to watch Josh and Roman Harper start for the next few years. And they might one day be the best safety tandem in the league.
