Les East, of The Advocate, reports the New Orleans Saints' players are on their own for the next six weeks until training camp starts. Head coach Sean Payton said each player has a schedule of what conditioning work they are expected to do on their own. When training camp starts, a conditioning test will be given to determine how well they have adhered to the program. Payton said, "These guys understand what they have to do to come in. They've worked hard to get to this position in the weight room and the running and lifting, by and large most of them understand what they have to do during that break, that gap. If for a period of two or three weeks, they don't do anything, then pretty much all that stuff they worked on, they can lose. I think they understand that."
