this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Maybe in Gibbs's defense, our corners wont be asked to turn and run with a lot of WR's. Maybe its strictly a read and react defense from the CB standpoint. I am not a fan of Thomas but his faults ...

Maybe in Gibbs's defense, our corners wont be asked to turn and run with a lot of WR's. Maybe its strictly a read and react defense from the CB standpoint. I am not a fan of Thomas but his faults arent due to him not being a smart player. All of this of course is hypothetical.

I don't know I've always like Thomas and have always considered hiim a solid corner. He did earn that big contract we signed him to... he really only had one bad season after that. He's wasn't spectacular or anything last season, but he held his own and showed signs of returning back to form. He is getting up there in age though... so that's a definate concern.
As far as Craft Tally, I felt the exact same way about him last year when I was defending him. But, I'm not going to fall for it again. I think he's a good dimeback and that's it. We can't have starting the nickel. |
