I thought Ninkovich was a good pick. He's the type of player that Payton has been vigilant about introducing to a consistantly underachieving team. Smart, high motor, good off-field behavior.

The two main backup DE's are Tony Bryant and Willie Whitehead. Both are capable of playing at any position along the line. The other DE's are unproven and Whitehead (one of my favorite current Saints players) could possibly start at DT this season so the DE position may not be as loaded as it may seem. I'm pleased with the signing and hope to see him play this pre-season.

I also want to see Rodney Leisle play but that's another topic.

this year a special teamer (demon). Looks to be good for punt rush.
In the future he would be a better OLB. hard to see him putting on the bulk to be a starter at DE without slowing him down. would not be surprised to see us us the 34 set a bit more than last year as the year progresses. with the lb corp. we got. Hard to tell with all the one year deals we got.
but we are a base 43 base with the DL.

This guy's not gonna' be a DE in the pros. I think Payton drafted him to play OLB.
