Who's gonna BREAK OUT?
I think we need a little distraction from who's not on our team (i.e. Smith and Bentley), and let's think about which player on our roster will break out this season.
Will Smith tops my list. I think he's going to be a terror! Mike Hass? Will the rookie prove himself, like he's had to do over and over again? Is Reggie Bush the real deal? How about Fred Thomas? Is he too old? Can he be solid opposite McKenzie? Hollis Thomas? Is he our new one-man Lunch Bunch? Charles Grant? Will he beat his 2.5 sacks from last season? Donte Stallworth? Will he finally get some stick-um for his hands? Devery Henderson? Can the boy learn how to run a route? Can Deuce recover fully in one season? Brees' shoulder? Should we be worried? Simmons, Fujita, Polley, Foreman, Bockwoldt, Fincher? Who's going to separate from the rest? What the hell are we gonna do with 24 safeties on our team? How many special teams Gunners do we need? Does Steve Gleason stiil have a purpose on this team? Is Jamal Brown going to be the stalwart we need at right tackle? Can Faine handle a bull rush? What about the other 3 positions along the line? What do y'all think? So many questions... I'm excited to see how it all unfolds? |

RE: Who
i have a feeling that mike hass may turn out to be a steal. he might be the height we have been needing at WR for so long.

Tight Ends will have a big year. Barring injury, we'll probably see a surprisingly diverse offense.

Re: Who's gonna BREAK OUT?
Drew Brees is on the top of my list he has something to prove and I believe he proves it this year....
Mike Hass? Will the rookie prove himself, like he's had to do over and over again?I think he is our #3 WR I really liked the kid in college can catch a ball should be a good player in the nfl.... Is Reggie Bush the real deal?Sept.10 we will really find out.... but im hoping that he is explosive like he was in college..... How about Fred Thomas?I love fred Thomas he will do fine this year.... Can he be solid opposite McKenzie?Maybe he would do better than Craft....... that guy gets burned seems like every time they throw down field...... Hollis Thomas? Is he our new one-man Lunch Bunch?Thomas isnt the starter on D-line he may surprise us but i dont see it....... Charles Grant? Will he beat his 2.5 sacks from last season?Sure will Will Smith will be double teamed more this season so Grant will be able to get him some sacks........ Donte Stallworth? Will he finally get some stick-um for his hands?Probly still drop a few but brooks really threw it too hard at times and some times too low and too high.... not blaming brooks for all the drops but some were stallworths falt......... Devery Henderson? Can the boy learn how to run a route?I think hass will be better than henderson maybe not this year but I hope he can learn them......... Can Deuce recover fully in one season?Deuce will have a great year....... he dosent have to carry the load like he did years before we have Reggie Bush and Micheal Bennet to help so it really helps deuce alot in the long run........ Brees' shoulder? Should we be worried?Nope no worries Simmons, Fujita, Polley, Foreman, Bockwoldt, Fincher? Who's going to separate from the rest?Simmons has to take control of the D in my opinion and Bockwalt special teams is were you belong im tired of seeing him miss open field tackles and FINCH is the FURTURE !!! the kid will be awesome Simmons though is who I think will be the leader of the D this year.......... What the hell are we gonna do with 24 safeties on our team?not sure but maybe a special play in the quarters no d-lineman no linebackers just safties come in on the play...... haha How many special teams Gunners do we need?Special teams will kick @ss this year...... Does Steve Gleason stiil have a purpose on this team?ummmmm nope when i think of Gleason i think of haslett.... im not sure why i just do............... Is Jamal Brown going to be the stalwart we need at right tackle?Yep Can Faine handle a bull rush?....maybe.....I hope.. What about the other 3 positions along the line?Stichomb was giving gandy a run for his money last year so I have no worries What do y'all think? I think some were between 7&9 wins this season maybe wildcard..... |
I just want a pass rush... Is that so hard to find.... Apparently....

I think people are going to be most surprised of the play of our offensive line. I think we are going to be a lot better than last year

I'll go with Stinch or Hilton. Smith and Grant already are proven NFL starters with ProBowl potential so they're too easy to pick. I don't know why but I have this gut feeling Devery will never be more than a #3 his whole career.

I think Hass will be our #2 reciver next year with Henderson at #3. If we don't sign Stallworth (bad idea) then who knows? Hass will be our breakout feel-good underdog player this year. Bush can't really breakout - he can only dissapoint since he's, "The Savior of the Franchise."
Simmons is a stud LB, but we know that already. Fujita is solid so the only linebacker that hasn't shown it yet that can break out is Fincher or...uuummm...Grant I think Evans has a good chance of being a breakout player for the line. Hopefully Hilton and Brees have great chemistry. Harper could make waves if he gets in on the prevent or 2-2-7 formations (or - hopefully not the case- Bellamy goes down again) and Special Teams. |
