Bethel Johnson
Hypothetically thinking ,we have a young man that has two superbowl rings and has played for one of the most demanding coaches in the nfl. Had he not been injured all of last year he would of been a starter for the Pats. Just thinking out loud what if Bethel had a broken foot that required a screw be placed in it and it took longer than eight weeks to heal. Bethel came back early and pulled his hamstring and then once again he came back to soon and pulled an abdominal muscle and just to top it off he sprained his MCL. Taking all of those injuries into consideration and considering that this is the first time in 18 months that he is 100% healthy I might think that the Saints might of gotten a steal with this trade. This young man does not drink smoke or even consume soda. He is 6'0", and weighs in at 201 lbs. He is now riunning at his pre injury speed of 4.21-4.30 forty yard sprints and will catch anything in his area. He is fearless and very acrobatic in his pass catching ability. I would guess that his body fat is at 3% and he is a strong christian. Of course this is all hypothetical and of course we all have one thing in common and that is that we want the Saints to do well. So lets give this kid a chance.

RE: Bethel Johnson
No he wouldn't have been a starter for the Pats. He runs poor routes and his best quality is running in a straight line catching the deep ball in which we already have Devery to do that. His best chance with us is returning kickoffs until he proves otherwise. He's at the bottom of the food chain when it comes to ball distribution as of now and probably will continue to stay there. He'd have to make MASSIVE noise in camp which is unlikely because we're going to continue to develop Stallworth, Hilton, Devery, Hass as well as get Horn in rythmn for the season.
With that said, good luck Bethel I hope you can make an impact on special teams for us if you don't get cut. Oh yea, welcome aboard man. |

RE: Bethel Johnson
You sound like his agent. I hope he pans out but if he was that good the Pats wouldn't have traded him.
