Ohio State lost 2 games last year and both were close. Texas (National champs) by 3 and Penn State by 7 (anoth Big ten team). Both were ranked in the top 4. LSU, I guess would represent the best your conference has to offer, lost to Tennessee (who lost 7 games last year) and Georgia (who lost 3 games) by 20 points. Keep barking..The Big Ten will keep Biting!

I guess there were no extenuating circumstances for LSU last year.

Beat me to it. I guess hurricanes only count when you're from the area.

At any rate, this is getting silly:

Ohio State lost 2 games last year and both were close.
Last I checked, 2 losses is two losses. Without TWO hurricanes almost runing your season. Without a new head coach. And all your talent went to the NFL. Whoops.

This is not my opinion! Is Texas, USC, or Virginia Tech in the S.E.C? How many Big Ten teams are there? S.E.C fans...dig out your calculator and answer me when you come up with the answer, okay!
Um, again, SEC teams play in a tougher conference, with tougher IN CONFERENCE OPPONENTS. Get it? Penn State in the SEC last year would have been lucky to win 6 games with Michael Robinson at QB. But they rolled through the weak Big 10. Just like USC would not go undefeated in the SEC, nor UT. So let me spell it out again: THE SEC teams knock each other out, cause we are the strongest conference. This is the reason why so many conferences are against a playoff system in college football, cause the current system rewards mediocre or above average teams from weak conferences with undefeated records and national title games. Ask Miami, you didn't wanna see LSU after they got their act together after struggling through a horrid off the field season.

and yes the SEC is soft....they win games, but they play soft football...just like the PAC 10...the SEC is a better conference, but they play similar styles. the Big 10 style of play is much more physical.
This is just a joke.

Kentucky, Vandy, Ole Miss, Miss, and Arkansas are all WEAK teams
Indiana, Illinois, and Purdue are all WEAK
Um, try again. Indiana, Illinois, Purdue, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Mich State are ALL weak teams. They are lucky they get to play each other. Recap: Weak conference=boosting the records of weak teams.

Ohio State has the Only guy to win the Heisman twice (and finish 2nd the year before)!Tressell has 5 National Championship rings (four 1-AA, one 1-a), What do you got......?
Whathave you done for me lately? Any Big 10 teams CLOSE to a national title recently? No? LSU won in 2003, Auburn went undefeated and got shafted in 2004. 5 teams in the top 15 last year, who had to play each other. Wonder if that'll keep you from going undefeated. Get real.

poor LSU! Here were the circumstances..."LSU was plagued by an inconsistent receiving corps last year that dropped far too many passes"..."there is little talent on the offensive line..Very thin"The linebacking corps is a big question mark" "there are areas of concern that could prevent this club for competeing in the S.E.C"

You just contradicted yourself. If you felt that way, then why did you just try to compare how many points Ohio State and LSU lost by.

RE: Opinions don

2005 , OSU was close..loosing to the eventual national champion early by 3 points...how much closer do you want? By the way, we had our second string quarterback open up that game..Justin Zwick, who would start for the S.E.C. team of his choice! How much closer do we need to get? We were closer than your closest team! So was Penn State. OSU was 3, Penn State was 4...LSU was 3 + 4 =7th! LSU is the Pride of the SEC, and they were 7th? How is that better than the 3rd and 4th ranked team? How? Keep talking...Because athlons, and Lindy's think the S.E.C. is weak too. Just pick up a copy of a college football magazine and see where you finished last year and where you are projected this year! 2003 was a split. LSU split the title. Ali unified the title and he is recognized as the champ..won in the ring! There is a reason that no one recognizes Nicolay Valuav as the current Heavyweight champion in the world...even though he holds the WBA Belt...its not Unified, kind of like LSU's CO championship year of 2003! The last time the Big Ten won was one year befor that, and they beat the Hurricanes who hadn't lost in 2 years..OSU went 14-0 and sent 14 guys to the NFL!

Wow. That's pretty insensitive to what the team and the region went through last year as a result of two hurricanes. Do you say "poor Saints" in a sarcastic mocking manner too? Should I expect anything less from an OSU fan? At any rate, add an offensive player to the 9 players lost on defense from last year's 2 loss team:
