Duece is the workhorese! That won't change!
Barry Sanders never got the Lions a championship. Reggie is that type guy...Ultra Talented..No Doubt, and its great that he fell in the lap of N.O.! Please , enough already with the comparisons to Duece and Bush! Reggie has crazy-skills and can make you miss and run! Let's not compare him to the back we have already because they compliment each other! Reggie is a great return man, and good reciever and has speed to burn! Did his injury, which kept him sidelined for the lion-share of 2005, cloud your memory of the guy we have in the backfield who wears #26? Dude averaged 5.7 yards rushing and 11 yards recieving in a reserve role in 2001. In 2002, he rushed for 1388 yards while tallying 352 recieving yards (total yards+1740). How about 2003...? 1641 rushing and 516 catching (only 2157 all purpose). Playing with ankle injuries and banged up, he posted 1302 all purpose yards in 2004. He's big, Gritty, Tough as nails and loves to compete! He's our go to guy. Duece will carry the Saints in 2006. He will be the workhorse. Reggie will fascinate us with punt returns, pass catching, and even running..No doubt. Don't forget the vetran that, when healthy, is the Dura-max Diesel! Duece is healing and hungry. How great is 2006 gonna be?!

as in the other thread, it would be nice if duece stays healthy.............
if he goes down though, you have a rookie, not just any rookie, but a rookie............ i hope he sheets all over defenses............i really do...............in fact, i expect it........... i want to see a rookie earn his money....................smitty |

If anyone else's #1 back gets injured they are in deep Shiite. We seemingly have a luxury no one else enjoys. Two #1 backs.
Also, rookie backs start and enjoy success every year in the NFL. It is probably the easiest posistion to immediately transfer success from college. I like our chanches. |

We are lucky, but it's only a matter of time until Reggie takes over. I can still remember when I was in the GA dome and who I thought was ricky broke a 80 yarder to the endzone, later to find out some rookie named DEUCE was the one with all the talent.(then in true saints fashion it was brought back on a holding call). now the SAVIOR that was worth a whole draft class is gone, and the little rookie who took his spot is a pro-bowler.
only time will tell, Reggie might be the next Kijana Carter, but let's hope not |

Having two damn good backs with a O-line that can't block
for them is like having nothing. 8) |

Barry sanders? I see bush as more of a Walter "The Sweetness" Payton. Give him a couple years before throwing him to the dogs. Duce is the man for now. he is the #1 if that knee holds up. bush is the defensive equalizer. if a D lets bush go one on one, out of the back field, breez will make them pay. So Duce will be pounding the defense that can no longer play 8 in the box. next 2 years could be big for duce
