I don't think Brees' TD passing attempt was that bad. He could have only thrown it so close to the receiver before the CB would have jumped in front of the route. Maybe it was thrown a tad too quickly, but the distance was good. I, personally, think it was just a timing thing.
He did have one bad play where he attempted to toss the ball away and it almost got picked. Also, Karney made him look bad. They shouldn't ever be throwing to this guy. He's an elite blocker, but that's it. He blocks. I saw Brees throw a nice, tight bullet pass that was right on the money which gave me more confidence in his shoulder. Brees and Horn are going to be a pretty good team this year. Horn's fantasy numbers are going to be pretty high again, I think anyways. The Saints ran a very basic offense. I put some of the blame on whoever called the plays. Dallas, however, looked like they were not holding back and brought some complex regular season plays. |

Ok here goes my rant. I would rather watch the New Orleans Saints lose and go 3 and 13 with a new coach like Payton and a new QB in Breeze with some new faces on defense then to watch the all crap team we have played with the past 4 years anyday. In losing and with a new coach, at least we will not see the same thing over and over and over and over and over again. Come back and start playing at the last minute, no way Brooks is ever coming out of the game- even with broken body parts, offensive play call that is PUKE, and "THE TROLL" walking the sidelines as defensive coordinator. I think we already forgot how bad it was, so don't complian, we got our asses kicked but with the hopes of a future.

Pass D-horrible, McKenzie needs to get the rust off fast, Thomas needs to go to 3rd, and Craft needs to be cut...Get a deal done to one of these teams for a good, young #2 guy, Lay looked good, and Phillips and Williams are definitely cut...Will got pressure, but not like he usually does, and Grant needs to get back to normal
Run D-clap, clap, and clap! Those guys were plaing the run very good, D-line played awesome...Impressed with Young, Minucci, and Grant on clogging on the run, Nink isn't a joke the guy is a beast...We played much better on the run, now teams know not to run anymore they'll just throw until we get a better corner, oh and Stout sucks, now we see that Harper will be starting Recieving-good. Loved Colston, Horn, Stall, and DH in the game...Played well and stayed consistent on the offensive side of the ball...Really impressed with Dh and Colston, though and I'd like to see more of Hilton ST-way better, Fincher, Gleason, and Nink were forces on ST's...They got Green and made sure he stayed back there Coaching moves-good, just the play calling was kinda stinky...They need to make a move on getting Edwards and a #2 corner Passing-Brees started off rusty then got it goin a bit, Bouman wants it, but I hope he gets cut...We don't need to vet back-ups behind Brees, I hope Amac gets healthy and get to play and beat him out Game ball- even though we got spanked, Rob Nink |

Hey thanx Rocky....I will accept the game ball with pride. I'll say it again... our run D looked pretty good. Offensively I feel we lack sync. Its like a bunch of pieces that still need to learn to work together.
Honestly if you remove the performance by our DB's.....we did alright. Face it....we got beat in the air!!!! |
