all we are looking for is players that can step up that we do not expect. well the pickings were thin to say the least. all it showed is we are ready to play the middle of pack teams and we have a tough road ahead of us to play against the upper level of the NFL. I expected it. still say we end up picking in the top 10 in next year draft. There is a core there and it is good. it is the other pieces that need to develope.
LONG TERM PROJECT. I still have the faith. I am a die hard saints fan. |

I ranted and ranted in '03 and '04 hagan... it wasn't anything at all about the wins and losses, it was the poor quality of play, win or lose. And then failing the same way week after week whether a win or loss. I can accept another poor win-loss if we see it coming together... see solid execution and gameplan even if the talent is lacking. Have a good organization and philosophy and the wins will come in time.

Hell yeah....why the hell go for 3 in the Pre-season? I was impressed for the most pasrt but yes.....DB's and OL we need help. But lets face it....this is a rebuilding year. We have a ton of new faces...a new coach....new scheme....new....new....new.....it takes time. If we can hold together....and get some players in those positions......wwe will be contenders soon enough.

As long as we step it up and work really well on the things we need work on, there's no reason we can't beat the Colts...

I said it before the draft and I'll say it again... you have to build this team and build it from the line out. getting a RB an QB will do nothing for you if you can't block and dominate up front.

BEAT THE COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEAT THE COLTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ah, what in the world are you smoking, snorting, shooting????????????? HAHAHAHAHHAHA...BEAT THE COLTS!!!!!!!!! It don't count in the preseason. What matters is regular season. If we walk out in a regular season game with the Colts and throw out there what the first string defense tossed out there last night, we will set a new NFL record for most points given up in a quarter, and it will be broken every quarter of that game until the game is over. I will say it again, we better hope our offense can out up 35 a game because the D appears to be capable of giving up a cool 34 a game for sure.
Now having said that I have seen many people put up predictions for the season. I say we will be an improved 3-13, if lucky 5-11. We have far to many holes on this team to expect much more than that. What we will have to do is be patient with tthe coaching staff, and pray that the draft and free agency pickups over the next 2 years get us back on the winning track. Until then, sit back, fasten your seat belts, and hold on tight (and remember the barf bags are in the seat pocket in front of you), because it is going to be a bumpy, Claiborne sized pothole filled ride. |

Dude, have you seen the Colts 2nd team, 3rd teams play???
They suck, as long as we work on our pass D and O-line they don't stand a chance |

That year we also had Roaf, Turley, Neole on the O-line and L. Glover, N. Hand, Howard and Grant on the D-Line....That is the diffrence between the history making year and this year!
