Anybody still predicting playoffs?
I tried to told ya this defense is atrocious. Wow. We got blown up by 7th rounders and second stringers. Did anyone breathe on Bledsoe? Ninkovich maybe? The schemes may have been vanilla, but we got our vanilla heads bashed in. The way they had Brees handcuffed with the playcalling for the first 28 minutes was difficult to watch also, especially since soon as they allowed him to throw, we moved down the field. But Dallas' vanilla offense waxed our D repeatedly. We are in trouble on that front. As I said from the beginning, 5 or 6 wins will be good for this team.

I've been saying 5-11 for the longest, but if they do alot better than yesterday I say 7-9
Our run D has gotten way better, its our Pass D that wil get demolished Brees and c.o better step up, during the draft next yr Payton better go to his defensive side 1st, not offense |

In next year's draft, we will be in position to draft Posluzny or however you spell his name from Penn State. Our MLB issues will be solved. But there's still O-line, D-line, and CB to worry about.

It was a heckofagame, a heckofagame. The only thing missing was the antics of our boy Fumbles. All in all they looked flat or in shock. It's like they were there in body only. A few positives though, Bush can help us over the long haul. I like this kid's character and class. We need to look over the waiver wire for a left tackle and move Brown back to the right.
As far as W-L I believe that 5-11 or 6-12 would be about right. Also, look for Stallworth to be GONE in about 2 weeks. |

I've been saying 8-8. Though last night's game certainly was a difficult game to watch, I am not ready to give up on my prediction based simply on the performance of this pre-season game.
As an aside, I am one of those who has doubts about Brees especially considering how much we paid for him. It scares the heck out of me when I see him drilling short pattern routes in the knees (see Deuce and Karney last night). Funny how the same thing happened to our former QB the year after his shoulder surgery. Though it was obvious to me watching the play on the field, both then and now, the press didn't mention it then either. |
