Fresh Stallworth Trade Talk

This horse has been beaten a lot. The Duckett/Lelie/3rd trade made me think about it afresh though. Lelie very similar to Stallworth in performance and with the same contract status. That said, who do you think would be fair trade value for Donte? It doesn't have to be anyone that is available, just fair. A trade you think would actually benefit both teams with even value exchanged. Don't forget the contract status element as in the Den/Atl?Wash deal. Lemme peruse some rosters 'n see...

Okay, my nominees are-

Eagles: #1 WR is 2nd yr Reggie Brown, ouch. #2 is rookie Hank Baskett UDFA. Next, injured Todd Pinkston. They need help there.
Roderick Hood CB and Max Jean Giles OG. Hood might start here. I haven't heard camp buzz but I liked Giles in the draft. Add another young lineman with lotsa upside. Probably more game ready than Strief or Evans. I'd even thrown in Jason Craft to get him out of town.
Deals have been done with Philly too, so there is some repoire between the FOs.

Bears: Can anyone name who starts across from Muhammed? Stall would be the perfect complement.
The Bears #4 CB would probably start here. Tillman is entrenched. Vasher is ProBowl but complained loudly for a renegotiation and didn't get it. He is the 131st highest paid CB. I'd sacrifice more than Donte for him with an extension agreed to. I'd even take the former Panther Ricky Manning or the rookie Danieal Manning.

San Diego: McCardell is 36, nuff said.
You know who here. For DS I would want a little more though. SD add a second day draft pick.

Who else is out there that would make sense?

this horse has more life I tell ya...

"Do the Vikings need to find somebody? Yeah," Salisbury said. "Does that mean you go out and try to get Jerry Porter, Donte Stallworth, Ashley Lelie? They've got to look... .We were still not even sure this year if Koren Robinson at the wide receiver position could take over a game."

Lelie was traded Tuesday night from Denver to Atlanta and Oakland has effectively taken Porter off the market with its asking price of at least a No. 1 draft choice. That leaves New Orleans' Stallworth the best of the reportedly available receivers.

Give us one of those corners, and I'll be happy with that trade.

I just thought of something! New England is in serious need of a wide receiver. Try to trade Stallworth to them in exchange for their nose tackle, Wilford. I know everyone (including me) loves Will Smith, but I have always felt that the Saints should have drafted Wilford instead.

Do you mean Vince Wilfork? That dude is a stud. I doubt NE parts with him. Although they do have sullivan now.

Maybe we could get him if we packaged a fourth round pick with Stall.
