TEAMS BLOWING THE HORN FOR BAILEY

Charles Bailey, the former Pro Personnel director of the Steelers during the Tom Donahoe/Tom Modrak/early Bill Cowher sans Big Ego years, is being mentioned prominently in discussions regarding the vacant Pro Personnel positions at San Diego and Jacksonville. Bailey, who left the Steelers for a similar job at New Orleans, and then was unceremoniously shuffled to a stadium relations position with the Saints (whatever the hell that means) when the Randy Mueller regime was toppled, recently interviewed with the Chargers and is scheduled for an interview with the Jags in the near future.
We here at Profootballtalk predict that the Jags will be the team that gets Bailey, whose expertise, while blatantly ignored by the Dead Men Walking front office in New Orleans, will make Jacksonville GM James Harris and company even more productive in the upcoming future, especially against Bailey's former employer the Steelers.

You know what....with the solid additions Jacksonville has made in the draft and FA, I don\'t see it too far before they return to a contending role in the AFC. Jack Del Rio will be a solid coach IMO. I see him being alot like Fox in Carolina. He has really made short work of revamping that defense. I mean look at this front four: Tony Brackens, Marcus Stroud, John Henderson and Hugh Douglas. That is a solid front line. And by adding Mike Petersen of the Colts with T.J. Slaughter, Keith Mitchell, Akin Ayodel, etc. They are very solid front seven. And the secondary is no slouch either.
I read on their website that the Jaguars D-coordinator Mike Smith along with Del Rio, are attempting to install a defensive philosophy based around strictly disrupting an offense. Very pressure oriented and jamming at the line.
They will be tough to play this year, especially with a large veteran presence in their offense who will be looking for solid performances to inflate their FA value next season.

Good move getting Bailey. He will definitely help them crawl out of their cap hole.
