Saints Less Than 2,000 Shy of Season Sellout
Sep 12, 8:12 PM EDT
Saints: 1,951 more season ticket sales would be a season sellout NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- If the Saints sell another 1,951 season tickets, they'll have a season-long sellout at the Superdome. "Once those go, there'll be no single-game tickets," team spokesman Greg Bensel said. The repaired Superdome, scheduled to reopen Sept. 25 for a Monday Night Football game against the Atlanta Falcons, has just over 68,300 seats for Saints games, he said in an interview. That means the team has sold more than 66,300 season tickets, or about 23 percent more than its previous record of 53,728. That mark had been set in August 2003, and was broken about four months ago, in May. Advertisement About 3,300 season tickets were available last week, and sales were brisk after the Saints' season-opening 19-14 victory in Cleveland, a news release said. "This entire organization is anxious to sell out on a season basis in order to emphatically show that our community is back and proud to support its home team," it quoted owner and executive vice president Rita Benson as saying. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories...MPLATE=DEFAULT 8) |

Hopefully they don't sell out every single one and I can get one from the box office for the Atlanta game. Vertigo seats at the top of the dome are going for $130 at the cheapest right now, which I COULD pay, but not to sit way up there. There's a few I am watching on e-bay too. They can sell out Tuesday morning after that game is over.

I normally go to one game a season, I guess it won't happen this year being they should sell out which to me is All Good.
I'll enjoy the games here at home, if I lived closer to the Dome I'd order season tickets every year, if you live close by to N.O go out and buy yourself season tickets if the money is right for you, this should be a fun season.. |

this is another issue maybe some write-in's to the major sports info outlets might help-- season sellout at hand and over 100 boxes sold. THAT is big news for a decimated city that has had it's population cut in half. it seems the media is a few months behind on these facts, whether on purpose or not i dunno.
