Unfortunately, this loss was probably a necessary evil for them. While Saints fans need no reminder of what it feels like to lose, this is a young team who will grow from this game.

GO SAINTS!

Well.....1st let me say that this game was never really out of our reach to win.....which is a good thing. Little momentum changing plays hurt us. Reggie's fumble, no pressure whatsoever on Delhomme, & penalties are what hurt us in the game. One good thing, though, is they never quit. I'm proud of the way they played & I think this team is heading for a winning season. Next week....Tampa. Let the a** whoopin' begin!

Im not really surprised we lost this game.... I mean I wanted us to win but I knew Carolina was gunna give us a game.... seemed like they could run the ball whenever they wanted and the little comebacks on 3rd down are killing us..... there should have been 2 picks by the saints 1 for sure Bullocks just droped it.... Carney missed the FG if he would have made it the momentum would have shifted and the 2nd half would have made us controll our own destiny but... missed it..... Saints run game couldnt do anything wish we would have had reggie at WR more in the game.... thought he had a touchdown when he caught that pass I think he thought he had it tooo..... Saints played good and I was happy cant wait till Bucs game..... im guessing blow out.....

I just want a pass rush... Is that so hard to find.... Apparently....

I'm not really surprised we lost. Carolina HAD to win, and it was away, and it was a short week, and, IMO Carolina is probably just better than us right now. Remember, we finished 3-13 last season. I think we've shown an astronomical amount of improvement, but losing to the Panthers isn't unacceptable. It was close, and this team is obviously soooooo much better with Payton at the helm.

Hey a missed field goal (43) and Bush fumbles at the 16. and we loose by 3. on the road. tuff but okay. The defense learned something out there sunday. never stop playing with drew at the helm. anything is possible. sorry i felt the defense lost it more than the Carolina offense won it. defense did play well though up to that point
