Fireseanpayton.com -- Yes, Really

http://www.aolsportsblog.com/2006/10...om-yes-really/

It really is a "What have you done for me lately" world in the NFL nowadays.

Not satisfied with the Saints' near-inexplicable 3-0 start, especially after last weekend's loss to the Panthers, calls for Sean Payton's job have already started at Fireseanpayton.com. Oddly enough, the site was birthed to the web during draft weekend, before Payton had so much as a mini-camp under his belt. Impatience is, apparently, a virtue.

"Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints?" the web site asks before answering, "The Panthers done beat dem Saints."

Well, Coach Sean Payton's got one loss under his belt. Not a bad record most say, but Coach Payton should have easily found a way to beat the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. In fact, we should be a 4-0 team right now. But we lost, and that's that. Hopefully Coach Payton gets our New Orleans Saints turned around and playing some good football by our next game against Tampa Bay. Unfortunately for Sean Payton, however, he took the reigns of a jinxed (some say cursed) football program, and time's ticking...

Fire Sean Payton dot com is a ticking time bomb, only we're not sure how much time is left. What do you think? How much time before football Coach Sean Payton gets the axe? Or will Payton even get the axe? My answer is yes. Sorry, Coach, but it's just a matter of time. Growing up in New Orleans, I know the curse of the New Orleans Saints football team. I was eight years old when Jim Mora and the Dome Patrol pounded their way to a 12 -3 record, and I long for the days when you could walk down Canal St. and yell 'Cha Ching' to any passersby. Will Sean Payton bring it back? Will Tom Benson let him do it?

I'm pretty sure this is a joke. And if it isn't, it must be run by Jim Haslett's mom. After all, Sean Payton is boy-band type of popular in New Orleans right now after going 3-0 and keeping the Saints prepared for the Panthers despite the loss. There's a lesson to be learned here, though. The seat of an NFL coach never cools. I would wager my pitiful paycheck on the fact that Payton remains coach through the end of the year at least. But, come to think of it, the Marlins fired Joe Girardi despite getting along with his players and experiencing success. Sure, you can say the Marlins' ownership is flawed, but no one's ever confused the Saints with front office brilliance...

I'm no one.
Who are you?

This has to be a joke. Colston alone is enough to show that Payton and crew know what they're doing. Yeah, the D wasn't tactically correct against the Panthers, but the team didn't exactly lay down. And no way a Haslett-coached team comes back from 13 down at Lambeau to beat the Packers.

The site is run by Mark Foley, former Republican congressman of Florida's 16th district. A Buc fan, he's hoping to lure the boyishly handsome coach to his West Palm Beach lair after destroying his promising career, this killing two birds with one stone. Judgment is obviously not an asset of Mr. Foley. Afer visiting the fireseanpayton.com site, make sure you watch your text messages and IM's and proactively block incoming from that address.

That is really stupid, so humerous and ridiculous

Name one rookie coach who has done better this yr???
I agree we should be 4-0 but he's the best since Hazlett's 1st yr. H e has come in and done a more than expected well job. He's the MVP(most valuable Payton)
