Anyone worried about the turf causing these injuries?
The "blades' of this turf are supposedly longer than some of the others around the league. Possible reason for concern? |

It's got to be better than the old turf in the dome. I think the problem is that today's athelete's muscles have outgrown the strength that the ligaments and tendons were designed to handle. Until human beings evolve to have stronger tendons/ligaments or medical science finds a way to generate these artificially we will continue to see these injuries to the knees of atheletes rise.

Harper is the first such injury, and he doesn't cut nearly as much as say Reggie Bush. I don't think there's any reason to be concerned over the dome turf. It's one of the best surfaces in the league. Anyone else from this team, Atlanta, or Tampa blow out their knee there? Anyone from Tulane or their opponents? Just a freak thing.
