this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Why the RB passes alot of times trickery will not help against a good vet defense. One half left one more score and it will be out of reach for the Saints...

We need a miracle second half. We don't seem to have turned up today! The Ravens offence seems to be able to move the ball wherever they want to. Big plays needed from everyone in second half or else we can forget this one!!!! Geaux Saints!!!! |

Tough game today, the better team today was the Ravens, not only showed that on the scoreboard but on both sides of the ball..
The Saints are still in first place at 5-2, nothing wrong with that. |

The only bright side I see is at least we got plenty of film now on what not to do! So hopefully this can be a learning expereince, and we go whip on Tampa Bay next week, then have a solid game against Pittsburgh. |

RE: Re: Wassup with the play calling
no reason that play should have been called in that situation.... we have a capable quarterback to get us in the endzone, we don't need reggie "3 ypc" bush tossing the ball up for interceptions...

RE: Re: Wassup with the play calling
I don't mind the play call but Reggie shouldn't have over-thrown the ball or evenin thrown it at all... the key to the play is to get the DB's to bit on the run and if they don't then Reggie should have ran it, taken it out of bounds or simply over-thrown the ball out of bounds.
yeah yeah... we did need a play like that to bet us back in the game so I am all for the play call. Reality of it Reggie screwed up. |

RE: Re: RE: Re: Wassup with the play calling
uhm... here is a clue... Ravens like best D in the league in stopping the run. SO you design a play to trick them into its a run and you through it over there heads. The problem is that he over through the reciever also...
It was not a bad call. Just poorly executed -by reggie. |
