this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I coulda sworn that the new head coach in Cincy was Marvin Lewis. Have I entered bizarro world? Did Cincy win the Super Bowl two years ago? :P...

Where does Haslett rank?
I meant he could even make Cincy a winner, if he was their coach. I\'m a little slow, but not that slow

LOL- I COMPLETELY mis-read that. After your explanation, it makes a WHOLE lot more sense.

Where does Haslett rank?
Haslett has won a single playoff game. He has a knack for spotting talent but he is not good with the X\'s and O\'s and he has not been able to keep a team focused and he is consistently allowing more and more BS to drop from his mouth, especially when it comes to answering direct questions about his decisions. He\'s not in the top twenty right now. Not until he can take the tremendous amount of talent we have here and turn it into a consistent winner. Jim Mora had better seasons then Haslett\'s 10-6 year with 2/3 the amount of talent on the team at best. I know you guys like our coach b/c he\'s our coach, but do you really think that you can find anyone outside of New Orleans that\'s not a Saints fan who would rate Haslett in the top ten? N-o w-a-y!!

Where does Haslett rank?
I think haslett is in the top 31 coaches in the league, that\'s my opinion, anyone that goes for 2 point conversions when it\'s not necessary shouldnt be coaching high school. yeah, he has a proven track record but let\'s not forget if it wasnt for a fumble on special teams in 2000 if I\'m not mistaken, the rams would have drove down and most likely scored and we\'d be talking about another coach right now. he might take the wrap whenever the team screws up but that still does not make him one of the best coaches, i mean he stuck with aaron brooks knowing he was hurt. even if it wasnt as serious as thought, my blind grandma knew something was wrong when his passes was flying around like a wounded duck. i say give him one more year, if he stinks up the joint again, it\'s time to lure Mora back or something. Give Steve Spurrier one year with this offense, we\'d break every record known to man. Maybe, I\'m over exaggerating but I think I\'m one of the only people that noticed how he bad mouthed St. Louis for beign a finesse team and how his team was smash mouth, now look at our offense, we could out run the road runner. i\'m definitely not complaining, with this offense and what we did with the defense, if we dont make the NFC Championship, I think something\'s wrong, but I would definitely like to be proven wrong by Haslett, I really liked him, up until the Brooks fiasco

Jim Mora had less talent than what Haslett has? Do you not remember the defenses that Mora had? Jim Mora cost us more games than I care to rememeber by playing not to lose rather than to win. Furthermore, Jim Mora never won even a single playoff game with the Saints or Colts and I don\'t see anyone beating down his door to come back and coach in the NFL.

Where does Haslett rank?
When Haslett won the division and the first ever playoff game in Saints history, there is nothing you could\'ve said to me to change my opinion that he was a Top 10 coach. Now? He BARELY squeaks into the top 20. The decision to let AB play when we had a legitimate shot at the playoffs was the kicker for me. I still like Haslett, don\'t get me wrong. I want him to succeed just as much as anyone. He just has A LOT of work to do this season to get my total respect back.

Where does Haslett rank?
We need to remember that Haslett is in his 4th? year as a head coach. All coaches learn from their mistakes and get better. I\'ll bet he doesn\'t stick with Brooks if Aaron repeats his late season fade. I still think he\'s an up and coming type coach. I also think there probably a few more mistakes he\'ll learn from down the road. There\'s possibly may be some Assisstant changes down the road also.

Where does Haslett rank?
Haslett simply lacks experience as a head coach. He is definitely not one of the top 10 coaches right now, but I believe he will be in the future. Very few first time head coaches have immediate success, it usually takes a few years before they mature into the position.

Where does Haslett rank?
It took Parcells 3 years with the Giants before he reached the Super Bowl. And he\'s a god...
