the example of "marques colston will not catch another pass in 2006" is a claim of truth... either he won't which will make it true, or he won't which would make it false, but by any estimation, you are making adefinitive claim.... it's not a statement that implies your perception of or point of view.... that's what i was trying to get at with the truth claim thing... you picked a bad statement to try to prove your point on.... i can understand everyone telling me to not take it so personal, but i can't take it any other way, unless everyone here just likes to be royal asses....

yikes, dude... i don't post much, but have been reading on this site for years. let this go. no one has been picking on you. you're being too sensitive about it. we all may not agree on every single issue, but we all bleed black and gold... that's what matters.

Though it's only week 9 (or like the Indy-NE game last week in week 8) The Bears-Giants game may literally determine HFA for the NFC. All three of the current contenders need to be aware of that. Consider the fact that there are only 4 teams in the NFC at the halfway pole that are above .500. Also consider that unless the Saints stumble badly (which from the first half, I don't see happening) the Falcons (which is the 4th team) is in our rearview already with an effective 2 game (and hopefully 3 game after the game in the Georgia Dome at the end of the month) lag in the loss column. I know there's 8 games left. But the Saints positioning with those 8 games left is very very good. So we all need to consider every game down the stretch a playoff game, starting in Pittsburg on Sunday. The Steelers would like to do nothing better than to play spoiler and as the TP article today points out: http://www.nola.com/saints/t-p/index...l=1&thispage=2 The Steelers have a very good offense and a very good defense. They just keep turning the ball over (-24 in the TO department. OUCH!)

Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO
Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |

it's easy for everyone to say i'm being "too sensitive" or to "let it go", but what you don't realize is that everyone else can raise their opinion and no one sits there and tells them they are wrong about what they feel.... however, when i do, i get bombarded with opposition to my opinion, which i don't mind.... it's the way that some, not all, ppl try to insinuate that my opinion, or point of view, is wrong.... it's not... its no more wrong than anyone else's, but some elitist readers out there feel it is their duty to tell me how wrong i am.... it's just aggrevating and i have been silent for far too long now.... and now that i speak up about it everyone says i'm taking it the wrong way, but how else am i supposed to take it? it's just the lack of courtesy and respect of some ppl here that gets under my skin....

sfiah, yes, absolutely we should be able to talk about them.... but no one member should tell another member that they are wrong about their opinion.... now, if said member introduces factual evidence for comparison or to strengthen or serve as basis for said opinion, then that may be deemed wrong, but the point of view of the person is still as valid as anyone else's.... that's what gets me.... it's like everyone here has a favorite ice cream... i may say "i like mint chocolate chip" and other ppl here will be like "why? what proof do you have that mint chocolate chip is better than praline?" it's rediculous b/c there is no wrong or right to my statement, unless i say "mint chocolate chip is in fact better than praline.... then you can flame, roast, and sautee my nuts right there....
