Who was the worst player picked up by the Saints?
Albert Connell -- To think we could have gotten James Thrash instead.
Kerry Collins -- You\'re welcome, New York. Glad we could drag those last bits of bad QB out of him. Heath Shuler -- At least we didn\'t use OUR first round pick on him. |

I\'m with you on Connell and Shuler. I\'d have to go with Wally Williams here, too. Luckily the offensive line around him was good enough to make up for his inadequacies.
Now if you want to talk about bad draft picks, I could go on for days: Vaughn Dunbar, Alex Molden, Mario Bates, Onome Ojo (i thought this kid had something), Chris Naeole(just kept the position warm for Bentley cuz he never lived up to his billing), Rickey Williams (WTF were they thinking on this one....Herschel Walker ring any bells?). |

Kerry \"vodka\" Collins did have potential when we got him. Too bad you couldn\'t pull him out of Pat O\'s.

Who was the worst player picked up by the Saints?
My choice is Lindsay Scott -- WR (Georgia). The guy made that one big play in college and we take him in the 1st round. Has to be one of the biggest disappointments given where he was drafted.

Who was the worst player picked up by the Saints?
This list is too long to compile.....but all of the names listed here are front runners. Grady Jackson may yet make this list as well.

Who was the worst player picked up by the Saints?
How about this: Bum Phillips brought in half of the OLD washed up Oilers when he came to coach here. Most notably Earl Campbell and Kenny Stabler. It was painful to watch.

Kenny Stabler. Earl Campbell.
Both great players in their time. But both had one foot in the grave by the time we grabbed them. [Edited on 1/6/2003 by LordOfEntropy] |
