this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Usually I`m just sick over a loss ... but I`m more like "awe shucks" instead of "let`s fire somebody". Saints defense (especially secondary) gave up some huge plays .... but then again so did the Steelers. Carney missed a FG ...

Hurts so good
Usually I`m just sick over a loss ... but I`m more like "awe shucks" instead of "let`s fire somebody".
Saints defense (especially secondary) gave up some huge plays .... but then again so did the Steelers. Carney missed a FG ... well, so did the Steelers. 2 key Steelers got put on the sidelines with injuries trying to stop (kill) Reggie. Saints were missing 2 key starters also. The whole game was tit for tat. Yeah Reggie fumbled on a crucial drive, but he also scored on a crucial drive with a 10 yard skydive.(that was cool) These 2 teams, Saints and Steelers, could square off against each other for the next 10 games and I`m betting it would be a 500/500 split. What I`m excited about is that this is the same team that won the SuperBowl last year, that made very few mistakes against us, and we nearly beat them. We have 2 rookie key offensive players, they have veterans at the skill positions, and we nearly beat them. To sum up my point here, I believe if the Saints play the remaining games as good as they played today, even with the mistakes, we`re in the post season without a doubt. What? You thought we were gonna go 14-2 ? ... uh no. I`ll take this L. |

RE: Hurts so good
I kind of expected a loss to Pitt... and I think we might tank one against Cincy too. Hopefully not though but Cincy's offensive is finally clicking. It's going to be a fun game to watch. Hey Atlanta loss so we're didn't lose any ground. Can't win em all.
I also wanted to point out that I didn't bet against the Saints this week... that's why they lost! |

They gave their all but still lost, you can't ask for more than that, it's when they lose because they played like crap the entire game, this is a different ball club..

Because you see what did the Saints in, turnovers, and the coach acknowledges that' fact, he tells you he's working on it, and you know he's actually working on it. No excuses, no blaming this and that. or the fans or the refs. Because you see the coach coaching on the sidelines, giving props to his players when they do good and drilling the guys who screw up, being a 300 lb lineman or your expensive rookie. BTW, I wonder how Coach Payton's shoulder is after that whack Charles Grant gave him |

RE: Re: Hurts so good
The Saints have walked into the Lions den, the way the past couple of weeks have played out in the AFC.
The Steelers needed a win in the worst way, they didnt want to have the worst record for a superbowl champion. Now the Bengals are seeing red after that GOD like performance from LT and the chargers! Next week will be good my friends.....oh yes, the saints may loss next week, but Sean Payton will use this as a learning process and make this team better each and every sunday the team takes the field. |
