this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; AKA Jason Craft. We should never be in this type of position. We have no one on the team to step up? Every year this guy makes this team, I don't get....

How can we rid ourselves of Pearl Harbor?

this guy performs in practice... and that is Paytons montra. I think there is a lot of break downs in our secondary... soon it will just click and either we will be ok or cleaning house this off season.

I'm sorry but I don't see Craft going anywhere with this team. Sometimes you se glimpses of something that could be really good but its not even near often enough. Maybe he dosn't get the coaching that he needs or he reached his full potential.

I think we can expect the corner position to get a whole lot of attention in FA and the draft next season.

I know coach Payton knows this team's weaknesses and i have confidence he will take care of it when the season is through. We need to get a veteran who can come in now and play and we need two young guys at corner. Its rare to find a rookie corner who can come in and be effective immediately. But i know it will get addressed.

That's the scenario that I'm expecting/hoping for. Bring in a guy that can step in and be our #1 DB then draft a couple young guys to develop.
Out of all the great draft picks we got in this past draft I think it hurts a little that Josh Lay wasn't one of those. Of course, you can't go 100% in your draft and there are going to be some misses. If year one is any indication of the future, at least we can feel comfortable that we'll get more hits than misses. |
