RE: Clark might get a more PT
Seeing how we face Gore this weekend, this could definately be a plus. I wish Mark the best though... hopefully he'll be healthy enough to contribute on 3rd down and long. 8)

Simeneau has done fairly well for us since the trade and I am surprised by that. But at the same time, I think he is the one LB we can afford to lose for a week or two. Danny Clark is really the only backup LB we have that can step in and be effective. So that doesnt worry me too much...now losing Fujita or Shanle would be a completely different story.

Man! I am so excited about this move. Hope Simmy is OK, but Clark has been waiting to shine, and has so far in limited goal line situations. He is a leader type, too. Real character player, so he will pump up those around for a more sustained intensity rather than just getting tough when our backs against the wall. I will DEFINITELY be looking for his name when we are on D. Seeing that SoCal is blessed with YET ANOTHER GAME from the Saints (this makes 2 weeks in a row!), plus next week is Dallas, which is a national game, then for X-mas eve, the country gets treated to Saints v G-men. This has been the miracle season already for those out of town Saints fans who don't have the dish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love watching Clark play. The guy is a monster in run-stopping and always seems to make a play in short yardage. He even blanketed Crumpler on a red-zone play last Sunday.

I don't think there will be a letdown against the run. All their LBs can play.

Now NOLA.com is saying that Simoneau has a fracture in his hand so I think that basically guarantees Clark some significant time on the field. I have been watching him all year and am excited about this (not the injury). I think we will see some big hits on Gore Sunday.
