Wed, 4 Jun 2003 13:00:36 -0700 ESPN.com’s Len Pasquarelli reports Carolina Panthers WR Kevin Dyson (Achilles’) suffered a torn Achilles’ tendon during minicamp workouts on Wednesday, June 4. He will undergo surgery on Thursday, June 5, and will miss the 2003 season. This is HUGE. With Mushin Muhammad always injured, who is left? I see where Antonio Freeman is being sought out by the Panthers, but he is a shell of the receiver he used to be. Looks like the receiving corps for Delhomme isn't going to be as strong as we anticipated. |

As much as I dislike our rivals this is bad news. Dyson was a pretty cool guy and would have fit in well in Carolina. I\'ve always like him in Tennessee and I really wanted him to suceed simply because he\'s always ridiculed for being selected before Randy \"me-me-me\" Moss.
But I probably won\'t lose any sleep. For I have a bad feeling about one of our\'s being lost for the season, i.e. Carter being suspended again a game before the season starts! |
