COACH OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!
Is there any doubt? The 2006 Coach of the year is, Coach Payton. Come on, that had to be one of the greatest game plans ever by any coach. Mike Karney, are you kidding me? Mike Karney, no one in the world saw that coming. The defense shut another so called potent offense DOWN, that onside kick was so perfect that we past the ball up came back and fell on it. Coach Payton clearly was the better coach today, I'm not saying he's a better coach than Parcells, but today, he clearly out coach his mentor.

RE: COACH OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!
You're preaching to the choir. He was already the frontrunner before this game now with a Jets loss I think he's got it in the bag.

al michaels said he couldn't remember he watched a game that was so well-coached. i love the ballsiness of the fourth and one and the onside kick.
although if they stuff that reverse, the pundits would scream,"Bad Call! Punt the football." |

Al Michaels and Madden couldn`t believe what they were seeing. Every Saints offensive play after their 1st possession was a tactical move against vulnerabilities in the Dallas defense. Madden couldnt even keep up with his yellow marker. The look on Parcells face was priceless. Payton coach of the year is an undeniable slam dunk.

All I could think about during the game was damn... this man is a great play caller. Outstanding job Payton. All during the offseason I was questioning all his cuts, how we were going to gel as a team, how is our offensive line going to block anyone, etc... this man knows his football. Hands down, coach of the year baby.

How could he not be coach of the year. He took a 3-13 team, replaced 34 of the 53 man roster, walked into a legitimate super bowl contenders house with a 8-4 record, and handed them their a$$. It was great.
