So should rb's stop churning their legs on a fourth and inches after they're pretty sure they have the first down? Nope... you get every inch you can.

It's another aspect of the issue of a QB trying to thread a ball into a tight window. If he succeeds, it's a great play. If not, it's a Rex Grossman SFIAH |

The odds were against him I think. Weren't there like LB's waiting for him? Do you really expect him to truck these guys? What we really need to do is tell Reggie to hold the ball better. He still waves that thing around too much!!

I understand what SFIAH and wheelman are both saying... hopefully you also see the point I was trying to make.
Not really Jeebs... he did have two blockers in front of him I believe. He might have taken a nice hit though because there were three Cowboys there. And yea, I expected him to truck those guys. 8) I like to see contact. |

We smashed Dallas, we embarrassed Dallas, we owned Dallas, we`re 9-4 and watching most NFC teams struggling and striving to be where we are ..... and your complaint is that a 2nd string WR didn`t try to punish a host of LB`s and go for 3 extra yards on a 4th and 1? .... whatever.

Just because we smashed, embarrassed, owned Dallas... it doesn't mean we're a perfect team either buddy. There's always room to get better... and finishing out plays should be one of them.
