Big Play Devery
I've seen alot of talk about Karney, Deuce, and Reggie and I just wanted to mention Henderson. His big play receptions were a thing of beauty and had me holding my breath till he came down with them. What about that second effort getting in for the TD after he went up and grabbed that pass! Of course I give credit where credit is due and Brees looked like the six billion dollar Man completeing those passes.

RE: Big Play Devery
That was an outstanding throw and catch... kudos to him. Seeing how he disappeared last game, he was bound to do something good this game. Hopefully he'll show up next week.
One thing that bothered me in this game about Devery was the fact he ran out of bounds on that 4 and 1 reversal. I can't stand it when they don't lower their shoulder and get the extra yards. He easily had 3 more with those two blockers in front of him. Lewis and Henderson need to learn a little something from Deuce and Bush... finish off your runs goodness. |

No doubt Colston needs to grab a hold of them boys and teach em that too. I love it when he trucks folks!

I disagree with you about the 4th and 1. The last thing the Saints need is another injured receiver.

RE: Big Play Devery
I think DH was making damn sure he got the first down by running pass the marker on the sideline. The players dont see that yellow stripe we see on the TV. I`d rather not see DH taking unneccessary hits in the open field. The goal was get the 1st down and keep Roho on the sidelines, mission accomplished.
and ditto what wheelman said. |

I think we should tell Bush to start running out of bounds also... I mean we wouldn't want him to get hurt. Come on now... it's football.

I see it as not giving 110% gaining the extra yard... you see it as smart football. Oh well it's just something we're going to just disagree about.
I think had we not scored on that drive or won the game, you might not be saying the same thing. But I guess we'll never know. |
