this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Why hasn't NBC said who they will move to Sunday night next week? Their site says they will give 12 days notice. Don't they know that some of us would like to make New Years Eve plans? I'll be really ...

NBC Sunday Night Football
Why hasn't NBC said who they will move to Sunday night next week? Their site says they will give 12 days notice. Don't they know that some of us would like to make New Years Eve plans? I'll be really REALLY mad if they move our game to night!

RE: NBC Sunday Night Football
They are probably waiting for the outcome of today's game.
If Dallas wins, then the Philly-Atlanta game becomes a playoff game I think. Let's see... Yup, if Philly loses their last two games then they are eliminated from playoff contention at the common opponents tiebreaker with the NYG. Both Philly and the NYG would be 8-8 overall, 1-1 head to head, 4-2 division, 7-5 conference presuming that the Giants win Saturday and Philly loses out. However in common opponents (the #3 tiebreaker after head to head and division) the Giants would be 8-6 while Philly would be 6-8 (Philly won the 2 games against the other #4 teams from last year (San Franciso and Green Bay) while the Giants lost to both Chicago and Seattle, the #1 teams from last year) So Philly can go from winning the East and a #3 to being completely and totally out. In the wildcard only the #2 team in each division is considered. If Philly and the Giants each end up 8-8, the Giants are the #2 team, and Philly is gone. So the Philly-Atlanta game is a playoff game presuming the Giants and Saints win next week. That would be the likely pick. SFIAH |
Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO
Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |

I didn't expect the Saints to be moved with all the playoff possibilities out there. Would've been nice for us that can't get to the Dome. Glad it worked out for you and all the other real fans.
