Green Fired!
The Arizona Cardinals fired coach Dennis Green on Monday after he failed to turn the downtrodden franchise into a winner in three seasons on the job.
http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/ARI/9901740 Not too surprising after the season they had. I really think he would have turned them around next year though with Lienert having some starts under his belt. |

Well, if I had had my way, he would have been the Saints coach three years ago. Shows how much I know about it.

I figured Green was going to get fired sometimes this week, back to ESPN Blitz I guess for Green to meet up with ole' buddy Eric Allen again.
I don't think there will be more coaches fired this season compared to last season but I'm sure there will be a few to go.. |

Pardon me guys, a little bit of congestion. Unless Coughlin wins the Super Bowl he's toast too... I know Art Shell is only in his first season (this go round) but Al Davis needs/wants to win sooner than later, he's desperate so he may make a quick coaching change next season if he can get a decent coach to coach there, that's Al's biggest problem, no one one wants to work for him, main reason IMO Shell is his coach this season, not that Art is a terrible coach but I think it will take a coach such as a Payton, Belichick, Billick type coach to turn that team around. If I was the new coach for the Raiders I'd cut Brooks, Moss and Porter on my first day on the job, Brooks can't play, Moss plays only when he wants to and Porter is a cancer to his team.. |

If it was up to me I'd fire Shell along with Brooks who isn't a very good QB, Moss who only plays when he feels like it and Porter who is a cancer to his team, If I was the new coach I'd fire all three players on my first day on the job.

I'm a bit surprised. I thought he had done enough at the end of the season to warrant at least one more year. I don't know any other coach out there that's better. Looks like Norm Chow is going to sign an extension with the Titans. They probably should have held on to Green for another year.
