With the Eagles secondary havin trouble covering Plexico Burress tonight... Boy they better pack a lunch for Saturday facing our receiveing core... I give the Eagles much respect as a worthy team in the NFC, but I think the Saints are going to exploit every weakness they have with Sean Peyton's game plan and show how much of a superior team the Saints are in all 3 phases of the game!!

I absolutely, positively, hate the Eagles. They came back on us, back in the nineties, to knock us out of the play offs, and I want revenge! I want to destroy them! That was in the dome too! Destroy, destroy, destroy!!!

I drank the Eagle haterade a loooong time ago boys. Living in the Del Val and having to listen to their stupidity is my personal cross to bear though. I live with it daily, and would love nothing greater than to see those dopes drink a nice large cup of 'shut the f@?# up'!

Expect the Philly Faithful in all of their drunken, obnoxious glory to show up at the Thunderdome. My advice: Score fast, score often, and wave bye-bye to them on their way back to the airport.

I listen to WIP sports radio on a regular basis in my car because I drive alot. (Its sorta like looking at a fire or a car wreck as you're passing by. You just HAVE to take a peek!) The trash talk has already begun from some of these idiots.

Expect to hear that stupid Eagles chant in various states of drunkeness throughout the week down in NOLA. They will hype up Stallworth and Howard returning to reap vengeance on the Saints for trading them. You can also expect to hear about the Saints' winning the game during their regular season by 'running down the clock' in the last quarter and how the Eagles really outplayed them in that game. You can also expect to some some fairly knowledgable, insightful, and totally assinine posts on these boards by their fans this week.

That being said, all in all, I'm hoping for a romp over the iggles like we had over the Dallas Ranch-Hands, but my mind tells me, its going to be a hard, close game. A blow out would be OH SO SWEET though because I'm inviting a few select iggle fans over to watch their demise at my place: Complete with Gumbo, Jamabalya, Etoufee and anything else Cajun for game food!

WHO DAT? Geaux Saints!!!

A wise man once said, "Poo-poo smells just as bad as s#!%. One just SOUNDS cuter!"

I think this game's going to come down to whether we can protect the edge both on offense and defense.

The Key to success for the offense will be for the O-line to prevent the Eagles D-line from dominating the edge where they force all offensive action into their pursuit. For the passing game, the Eagles D will try to keep their arms up on the edge and push up the middle to disrupt the short passing game. Their cover two will force the underneath into this rush scheme. For the rushing game, the Eagles D will try to contain Bush and McAllister from getting to the edge and to prevent the "Brees rollout" by making Brees stay inside the tackles. The Eagles will want the Saints to beat them by forcing things into the Eagles' strength, their good tackling LBs.

On Offense, the Eagles will try to rush off the edge and get Westbrook into those cutback situations. Their best passing success against the Giants was for allowing the Giants line to over commit on the edge, opening up passing/scrambling lanes for Garcia to see the field by moving inside the rush or laterally after the rush passed him.

This Eagles team is similar to the Falcons, only with a better quarterback. I think the Eagles can only score TD's on the Saints inside the redzone. They don't get yardage in big chunks because their team speed isn't great; don't let yesterday's game fool you - bad, really bad, defensive effort was responsible for their two td's. Conversely, I think that the Eagles are vulnerable in the redzone, but with a key DB out for the game in the dome, their secondary is going to have a hard time. Forcing the Saints into the middle of the field keeps the big play from happening, which keeps the Saints in front of them, which usually means the Saints kick a field goal instead of getting a TD.

FOR: The Eagles have 5 days. Wow, talk about getting screwed by the League.
Against: The Eagles are relatively healthy and confident, and not afraid of the Dome.

Hobbes: "Common lament."

The Eagles are the one team I didn't want the Saints to match up against. While the Saints has all the fire power, you can't score many points if you don't have the ball. The game plan for Philly is ball control by running and screens. Just the way the Skins held us to 10 points. ( the lowest point total all year.) I certainly hope and beleive the coach Payton has something in mind to counter act this.
The Saints are on the threshold of doing something special, I don't want to see this opportunity blown!!
Pardon me if I seem to be overly cautious.
